Foolish little bee

bee crab spider garden 1.jpg

I was walking around the garden minding my own business and thing to catch some nice bokeh.
Flower here, flower there, some butterfly, bugs and flies, some nicely shaped eaves... usual stuff.

Hold on a second..
What is there?
Is that a bee?

Yes it is :) Sweet!

Well, not so sweet for her.

This is not a macro lens so cropping the images too much is not the best idea. But you can see the little white crab spider and his bee dinner, right?

Those spider amaze me each time. They hide so well under the petals! The often hunt on flowers that have the same colour so they are almost invisible. Poor bee had no chance.
Spiders gotta eat.

The lens is great for all the lovely swirls though. The place was in more shaded part of the garden, so no so many bubbly bokeh, but it is still pretty nice if it comes to colours and sharpness.

And of course this lovely "wet" bokeh... all smudged as if the background was under the water. Love it!

These shots are very brilliant and those flowers are very soothing onto my eyes.
The Camouflage of the spider beneath those white flowers amazed me too. I really loved those photographs ❤

Looking at the first picture I just only say: Wow!!! The petals are so pretty, they look so amazing.

Wow, unbelievable ! I have never seen a white spider before, that is such a perfect camouflage for him. Poor bee, but yes that is natural selection! Beautiful pictures

Once I found one that was all completely yellow. And he was, obviously, hunting on yellow flowers. They are so hard to spot sometimes...

That's so amazing how they blend in , I'm always fascinated by nature and animals and how they use their "super powers" for survival.

Aw, poor bee indeed. It is all part of the ecosystem, though.

Fun pictures!

Thanks!
I don't like to see bees being hunted, but as you say. It's all part of the ecosystem.

I love this kind of photo format. You were walking in the park, but by chance you were able to capture the world of insects. These are really interesting observations and cool photos! Thank you :)

It is a very cool lens for bokeh! Also the more bubbly one.

You forgot to add the NSFW tag.

Thats a bee raping the poor little bisexual flowers.

You really are a furry, capturing every private life of any smol animal. *(In 4k might i add)

Well you did post this on the Hive Engine so i can't really complain. Just be sure to milk as much honey as you can

The camera which you use in taking this picture is top notch I must say and the spider had some advantages over the bed by hiding under the flower

That camera is really cool, but it is all bout the lens. It does magic :)

Oh my god! I've never seen a spider like that. Perhaps neither has the bee. If I were the bee, I'd probably be captured too. Completely caught by surprise. You know, that's what I love about shooting macro nature. You never know what you'll find as you get closer and closer. Amazing.

The bees and often wasps have almost no chances with those spiders.
I pretty often do not see them myself. Only after I check the photos on the pc I get a nice surprise :)
