FungiFriday - Daisies

white daisy mushrooms pl 7.jpg

For the first time every, and I have been picking mushrooms since a kid, I saw this many little mushrooms in the woods. Thousands of tiny little hats wherever I looked. They looked like little daisies on lawns.

Google says it is some type of Mycena, though to me they will always be Daisy mushrooms.

Very small, about 2 cm across hats on not very long, skinny legs. They look so delicate that I didn't even date to touch them in case I would brake some (though I should check it anyway... you know... experience ;)).

After the rain they were all got shiny and almost see though. I am surprised they survived the heavy rain that caught us in the forest. Maybe they are not as delicate as they look...

They would pop from any possible gap - pushing the fallen leaves and needles. Imagine the giant mycelium all connected to each other and invisible to humans.

Another spot just a couple of metres away with more mosses and grasses. Yep, they are there too.

I was standing there for a bit in complete silence admiring the view. Pretty damn amazing!

Traditionally I asked AI image generator what it thinks of my finds.

Wow, it's a paradise to see those little hats everywhere in the undergrowth, I wish I was in front of a landscape like that. Close up they are even more beautiful. Thank you for sharing these sublime photos,

I enjoyed this story. I was out in the botanical garden today and I don't remember seeing any mushrooms. I wonder why? I think they must have taken them out.

It is a bit out of season for them. At least here. I don't know where you are :)

Those are a lot of mushrooms! Holy crap!

I wonder who the lady is in the last AI picture, and what the AI was dreaming to put her there.

Yep... they took over the forest :D

The AI is a bit crazy and put humans in weird places :p

Beautiful daisies all around! Yes, I can only imagine this enormous mycelium network underneath. All connected and sparkling of energy… ok, that’s my imagination going to far 😂

I one saw a huge circle of hedgehogs. It was good few meters long in all directions. Incredible sight, but my camera never did it justice, so like you, we just stood there, taking it all in 😍

Love the AI captures too. Still didn’t get to try it. One day 😉

Oh I know what you mean!
Have you seen "Avatar"? It is probably like there... you touch on little fungi and wzuuummmm the energy flies in second to the other side of the forest and all th little mycelium branches on the way light up :p

Yesss! I watched Avatar and then I forgot I watched it, so I watched it again in December, so I can remember the story for the part two that is in cinemas now 😍 Did you see it yet?

Yes, I guess that’s why my imagination goes wild 😜

The shots are good enough, but this AI stuff is out of this world, exponentially increasing the capabilities so fast. Just curious, what AI generator do you like the most. I play around a lot with Craiyon when I'm in a hurry, but it doesn't produce results like some of the better paid/membership ones.

It is pretty cool what it can do right? And I still use some free online site to do it. There are much better ones out there.

I have only tried two mobile ones but I didn't like any as more time it took to watch pushed adds than playing with it. Now I use https://creator.nightcafe.studio/ and didn't try anything else. You need some credit points as they are then used to "pay" for the creations, but you get 5 free ones every day (plus more if you create account and are active). It is enough for me :)
There is that one that you use via discord... I forgot the name now. It seems to be much better!
