Lost in a pink mess

avatar

I was picking some Hydrangea today to take home and put in a vase. Beautiful, bug clusters of pink flowers!
And then I noticed this huge, black ant like guardian of the pink petals (I heard that those are actually leaves, the flowers are the tiny centers).

It wasn't hard to spot her even though she was the only one there.

Yea.. stretch that leg, little one :)

I shot her for a little bit. She was a fast one and seemed like she was a bit lost looking for a way out.

Few more shots and then she changed the direction, stuck her booty at me and disappeared.
Oh well.
I got my bouquet and left too.

Such a nice contrast! A tiny creature swimming in pink sea! Hope the little one finds her home.

The first shot is so awesome! It gives him a personality almost! Ants are not the easiest to photography, usually not very cooperative. I like the parting shot, butt in the air as he moves out of range!

I do love the hydrangea and have some sitting right next to me, from a tri-colored bush, Red, white and blue. Such a delightful bush.

They are just so fast! At least this one was quite big. The tiny ones are impossible :)

I love them too! Brought some home and now they sit in the center of a kitchen table. So pretty.
