Snail flower exploration + quick drawing

avatar

Everyone knows that the best time to shoot snails is after the rain. They wake up and slowly (literally) go explore the world.
And if you are not a garden owner you will appreciate the abundance of them near the veggies and flowers ;)

There is also something so adorable about them. I don't find then disgusting. They are cute and extremely photogenic.
This one was exploring Kalanchoe flower and few other was lower on the leaves too. Small thing with some ridges on the shell.

I was doodling last night on the pad testing brushes and training shapes and I ended up with a snail drawing. It kind of made me look for some snail shots.

I just don't know why the hell he is so sad...

I am a gardener and snails are very plentiful in my gardens, but not the spiral shelled ones in your drawing and photos. I'm convinced the ones I have are slugs that grew shells so they are more sun tolerant and can do damage all day long. They're brown, their shells are elongated and they are far less attractive than the ones in your post, (especially your snail sketch. He is adorable!)

Maybe he's worried about whatever it is he's looking at. Idk but that's my take for what it's worth. It would be up to the creator to supply what that might be...

They are terrible pests in a garden. Both snails and slugs!

Great photos!
And I really like your snail drawing !!!
Are you wondering why he is sad?
You painted a snail on a bare spot, so he in a sad mood asks the question: what will I eat? :-)))))
