Streptocarpus inspection.
It has been a while since I showed any of the Streptocarpus flowers. They struggle here. It is not a climate for them and I keep trying to find a place where they will feel just a little better.
This one surprised me with the amount of flowers though. Most of then have just a couple of blooms.
And it looks amazing!
Of course my irreplaceable furry assistant had to check on the blooms too :)
And then provide some background.
As a reminder - some years ago I got two different plants with different flowers. I decided to cross pollinate them and see what I get from that. It was a big success. Bigger than I expected and I got so many plants I didn't know what to do with them.
I gave away many of them and I kept some. They started to bloom and it turned out that each plant has different flowers!
It was pretty exciting to watch the buds form now knowing what colour it will be.
The few I kept are still here with me and still bloom from time to time, but they are not as nice and bushy as they can be.
All the colours:
The top two are the parents. In the bottoms you see some of the results of the cross.
