Tabby the hunter
Countryside cats are so cool to watch. Even when they seem to be all chilled and resting, they are always cautious. Always paying attention to all the sounds and movements around them. They are normally less dependant on people and still hunt some small birds or rodents even if they do get fed. They can disappear for a whole day mining their own business and show up for supper hungry anyway (on a bad hunting day).
This Tabby girl showed up out of nowhere and sat on a little wall in a safe distance from me. I would not dare to come closer as I know she would just run away. I grabbed my camera instead :)
I have no idea what she was looking for, or waiting for. She would not come even if I offered her food.
She just kept looking around. Probably waiting for her next victim.
The other side i more interesting? Could be - some big trees an bushes were growing there, usually with plenty of little birds resting.
Oh if only she could get one of them :p
"Hooman, that's enough!"
And off she went..

An for a bit of fun I keywords escribing the photos into an image generator an this is what I got :D

I like the scruffy walls though.

I believe in countryside cats supremacy! Cute, Brave and knows how to get feed.
I become victim of same cat like so many times... If left anything for a second and it's open than cat will show up from nowhere to clear everything inside.

I was watching today a documentary and Tabby looks like an Iberian lynx! 😂
Now I wonder if we saw the same one. Something about growing the natural population of Lynx in Spain and Portugal...
And there was one that was let free somewhere in the middle of Spain and it ended up in one of the natural parks in PT.

Heheeh... The one that I watched was about that the species were in extinction just 15-20 years ago, and how they managed to multiply the number of lynx by 14 in that time... So, good news for these kitties... :)

What a cute little kitty!
Part of the Miami Beach waterfront has some growth between the paths and the beach where semi-feral cats roam free. There are signs along the path telling people not to feed the cats, but those cats are obviously familiar enough with people to not flee from them unless they get really close.
Some cant resist to feed the little fur balls... they make puss eyes and humans are sold :D

It's a beautiful tabby kitten. I call all cats kittens and all dogs puppies. It's just how I like it.
Apparently even very well fed cats bring home a fair amount of prey even if they don't eat it. There's a cool study that they did in the UK a few years back and this one woman ended up with half a chest freezer full of specimens of what her cat brought in during the study period - the variety was astounding. You simply can't take that hunting instinct out of them no matter what they're fed.
My mum has a cat that keeps hunting mice and leave them in front of the house. She will not eat them either. Mum will not freeze them though :P That must have been some nice stash :D
