The missing two - miniature Phalaenopsis orchids on bloom

A while ago I was showing you two of my miniature Phalaenopsis orchids that finally decided to bloom. You can check this post for more photos..
Soon after the next two started to slowly open. I waited a little longer to have more flowers to show and here they are :)

The first yellow one I got in supermarket together with a purple one. I did not put any tags on them... same story every time "I will remember". As if!
As soon as they dropped the flowers and I repotted them to new pots I had no idea which one is the yellow and which one is the purple.
Now I WILL put the tags with their colour. I am not sure if they have any registered name and I will not bother looking for it. Colour is enough.

Pretty yellow colour that caches some lime shades with some small spots and a peachy-orange lip. I like the shape of the flower too.. its more round than the other ones.

The flower spike grew a little weird. Instead of going up, it started to grow sideways. I could try to train it, but they are very thin and brittle and I could have easily break it. So I just left it be. I don't quite mind, but now the flowers are a bit heavy and the pot tilts easily and needs to lean against something not to fall.

The second one is the one I had no idea what it will be. I got it as a very small plant with a not "it is very pretty" :). That's all. I was almost sure it was a keiki from a regular size plant and didn't expect it to bloom anytime soon. Until it grows to a large size of course, which now I know will never happen.

I noticed a small spike coming up while I was watering it and it was clear it is a miniature! I had no idea... just as I had no idea what the flowers will look like.

Here they are!

Quite nice, right? Though I probably wouldn't purchase it myself.
Furry inspector agrees with me.

And now something I have been waiting for - a group shot! They stand all together and look just lovely. Hopefully next year the purple one will join them.

There is still some buds to open. And knowing how long lassting the flowers are, I am gonna enjoy the show for a good couple of weeks :)

They did :D
I like the yellow one the most too. The purple one that didn't bloom has the same shape as far as I remember and nice light colour.

Thank you! At least they bloomed. None of the big ones had flowers this year.

(Edited)

Although it has taken 2 years, mine is going nuts blooming! So much that the stem is horizontal and laying on a spider plant lol.

It had to make up her mind if she wants to bloom or not. Mine do that too.
Very nice colour! :)

Lovely ones. I like this glitter effect on them. Just yesterday we were talking about how thankful this plant is. I can't remember any other species flowering that long and needing so little care.

I think I remember one of the big Phals was blooming for over 4 months. I had no idea the flowers can even last this long! And yea... they don't require so much care.

And I can give you a PRO tip. Once in a while add some yeast (that one for baking) with water to them, they love it.

Really? Never heard of that trick.
How much per 1l?

"Traditional recipe for yeast dressing is prepared as follows: a kilogram of "live" yeast is diluted in five liters of water, after which the solution is diluted with water in the ratio 1: 10 before use.

If dry yeast is used instead of the usual one, then top dressing is prepared on the basis of 10 grams per 10 l of warm water with the addition of two tablespoons of sugar, after which the mixture is allowed to stand for a couple of hours, and then also diluted with water in the ratio 1: 5. Typically, this solution is used for watering flower beds, vegetables, fruit trees and berry bushes."
Something like this. I never really weighted it but rather add some to the water.

Now I WILL put the tags with their colour.

And I hang a number on orchids and take pictures.
I write the same number on the pot.

Great blooms and photos!
