With the previous blog I posted, I indicated that I am going home to surprise my family to celebrate New Year. Little did I know that my plan of going home will be earlier due to what happened in Cebu after the typhoon.

December 22, 2021,. I flew back home full of eagerness and excitement to see them. Since my flight was delayed for how many hours I stayed overnight in the city at my friend's place.

My friend Alyyssa is not available as she is attending their Christmas Party but her Mom welcomed me and prepared fried fish which I was craving for and that I always wanted each time I go home to our province. The next day her mom take good care of me and accompany me to get some stuff at the mall and in return I bought her a Christmas present for being so kind and treating me as her daughter ever since I and Alyyssa became friends.

The moment I arrived home, they don't know how to react. My Aunt was surprised to see me when she opened up the gate. My nephews and niece are there too. I saw my dad smiling and got teary-eyed and hug me as well as my other Aunt. Keep holding back my tears as I don't want to be emotional that day. I was just so thankful that I am home and with them.

🌲 Christmas Eve 🌲

A photo together with my Sister and Dad. We don't usually take photos together for some reason. But since it is Christmas and it's been how many Christmas that I haven't celebrated it with them a photo won't hurt. Lol 😆

Since we are living in a compound we celebrated Christmas together with my Dad's sisters and with my cousins. Everyone contributed to the food that night and we were amazed at how much food we had on the table.

I feel incomplete without my brother's presence but I know how busy he is with work and can't be with us. But we're happy to see him on a video call and his family.

It was endless chitchat, as some of our Aunts and Uncles live far and it is good that we were able to greet everyone via video call.

This is really a memorable holiday for me. Spending Christmas with them made my 2021 journey differently. Hoping for the best year to come and can't wait to share with you how we are going to celebrate New Year.
