This is my first submission for the #Index4Index initiative and my quote for the day is “A smile has no value until it is given away”.
Although I am unsure of who penned this quote, this absolutely makes sense. It is one of those things that you can give even when you don’t have much to give. And it is of absolutely of no value unless it is given away.
A smile is precious. Smiling comes naturally to almost all of us. And a smile goes a long way. When you greet someone with a genuine smile, it uplifts their mood and uplifts our mood as well, brings about a sense of confidence, makes people comfortable in a given situation or it just may be the start of friendship. Research shows that smiling makes us happy, and by giving away a smile, we are sharing happiness.
It may seem uncomfortable to start smiling more, but once you get used to it, then it just feels uncomfortable not to smile 😊
