God of who?

Since it's a Sunday I guess it's the right time for me to ask these questions that are bothering me about my faith.

Wait!! Hold up first.

Before you criticize me or misquote my title. I think you should read what I have to say first.

And no I am not in any form or kind trying to be blasphemous or post blasphemy. Not at all. Not in one bit.

There is a reason for the above title and that is what I am going to explain. So please try to keep up with the post. And if possible give me answers if you are able to.

Now to further make you understand the kind of Christian family I was brought up in, I'll tell you a little about my life.
I was born and raised in a Christian home. In Fact my Dad is an Elder in the church and at one time was also the church board chairman. We literally slept in the church on most occasions, not because we don't have a house or because our house wasn't comfortable but because my Dad felt it right to. That is to tell you the extent or the kind of family I grew up in. The kind that you are woken up every 5am in the morning for morning prayers which lasts nothing less than an hour or so. The kind that you dare not make friends with people that puts on trousers or guys that dread their hair.

Wait what am I even saying. If you're lucky enough to have a friend that visits you then that friend must have been carefully scrutinized by your parents. That's the kind of Christian home I grew up in. And it shaped my life as a Christian.

But recently something keeps bothering me. Something I can't seem to wrap my head around. Something I've been meaning to ask.

We were made to believe that Christianity is a religion and we serve one God . Why are there so many beliefs about Christianity?. Why are the beliefs different?. Or aren't we serving the same God? Is God different from each denomination? The holy spirit was meant to teach and let us understand these things. So why the confusion.

That aside, there's also these trends among christians that I still dont accept. These trends were once popular in the new generation churches but recently it's gradually making its way into the pentecostals and protestants ( correct me if I'm wrong). The trends of shouting l, praying and at times attributing your testimonies to the God of your pastor.

Is it that the God these pastors serve isn't the same as your God or is your own God powerless that he can't answer your prayers or is there any other God your pastors serve apart from the Almighty God.

These questions keep playing in my head that up till now I still can't find the answers. Like I said earlier this isn't me trying to tarnish or be blasphemous. I'm just being an honest guy letting out his thoughts and seeking answers.

Note: I'm open to corrections and discussion. This shouldn't be just a post from me please let in your contributions.

We all Serve the same Living and Almighty God but I in all things there is hierarchy right? So that's why you will see someone asking an ordained to pray for him/her.

I'm not against your pastor praying for you. I do that at times too. I'm just asking why when miracles happen, people don't just thank God rather the say things like "I want to thank the God of my Papa". Are there different God now? Or isn't it the same God we all serve?. Why attribute to the God of your Papa

I understand what you are saying you know for the that a Miracle happens through someone then when Thanking The Lord Almighty they also Tends to thank the person that it happened through.
