DEAL WITH HEARTBREAK BEFORE She DEALS WITH YOU.

The majority of people find it pretty difficult to deal with heartbreaks. People go into certain relationships with some goals and aspirations. When these goals are not met to some point, stress sets in, and probably the heart gets broken. I see heartbreak as a state of overwhelming emotional stress caused by loss or disappointment.

A state whereby one is unable to control his emotion because what he hoped for and sort out to achieve has not been met. This occurs as a result of a failed relationship. Heartbreak can be disastrous if not controlled and can eventually lead to death because the victim is usually helpless. A lot of people fall prey to this monstrous element of heartbreak due to the emotional attachment toward the other person of the opposite sex or the same sex. A breakup in a relationship does not just happen instantly, there is always a pointer to it and at times we are just too busy to notice them or being crowded in the euphoria of being in love. Heartbreak is real and lots of people have gone through it. Some have overcome it while some have been submerged in it. The best of it all is for one to prepare his or her mind for it in case it happened.
Therefore, we'll be looking at how to deal with heartbreak that occurs as a result of a breakup. Before then let's look at what causes heartbreak.

there's no certainty as to the cause of heartbreak, but these few points can serve as pointers.

  1. Rejection: one of the major causes of heartbreak is rejection. Some persons can not handle rejection in a relationship. This occurs when one party in a relationship finds it difficult to get along with the other. The rejection might be voiced out or might be through body language.

  2. Break up: break up is another cause of heartbreak. When two persons who have been in a relationship for some time decide to part ways for some obvious reason. Heartbreak will definitely set in.

  3. Other causes: there are other causes of heartbreak, which includes, Death of loved ones, non-reciprocality of love, and concern,

Effects of heartbreaks.
It's important to know what heartbreak does to a person.

  1. Loss of focus: a heartbroken person automatically loses focus in virtually all of his activities at the workplace, or home. This to a large extent affects his productive capacity.
  2. Loss of interest in some activities: this person will lose interest in things that hitherto made him or her happy. This will lead to self-isolation.
  3. Effect on health: heartbreak has a debilitating effect on someone's health and this can be disastrous if not controlled. Health issues like stroke and heart attack, headache, loss of weight, etc. Can be linked to heartbreak.
  4. Insomnia: a heartbroken fellow will find it difficult to sleep. This automatically affects the general well-being of the person.
  5. Fear: this impact is very pronounced because this person will be afraid to go into another relationship hence it will affect his or her view of people.
  6. Withdrawal from friends and family: here, a heartbroken person is prone to withdraw from friends and family members, and when this occurs depression will set in then the person will begin to engage in some usual activities like smoking, excessive drinking, drug abuse, etc.
  7. Thought of suicide: some persons out of their inability to control themselves when heartbroken, think of committing suicide.

Effective ways to deal with heartbreak include,

  1. Maintaining adequate eating habits
  2. Socializing with people
  3. Always engage yourself to work. Always get yourself busy with things like exercises, reading, swimming. etc
  4. Always think about developing yourself. Go for more studies, learn new skills,
  5. Listen to messages that can build you up and steer up your spirit. Good music can also rejuvenate, stimulate and restore your mind. Songs like "Back to December" by Taylor Swift, "stronger" by Sara Evans, "red light" by David Nail among others.

Heartbreak is real, therefore, how we respond to it matters. Take charge of your emotions and not the other way round. Always remember that breakup is inevitable in your relationship so you need to wise up while relating. Try and reach out to someone heartbroken and see how you can help him or her out of the situation.
