My Erasmus Adventure -Intro-[EN-TR] / Erasmus Maceram

Hello dear Hivers!
I have been on Hive for about 2 months now and I am very happy to be here. With every post I write, I meet new people and become a member of different communities. Although I am usually in the communities that appeal to me, others are also interesting to me. In this post and in other series, I will share with you the places I traveled during my erasmus education and the funny and sad moments I experienced.This post will be a bit more like an introductory post, in the other series there will be more photos and memories.
Let's move on to my post.

My Erasmus Adventure

In 2019, when I was in the 3rd year of university, I won the right to study in Poland by taking the exam with the opportunities of the university I was studying at. At first I was undecided whether to go or not. In this, I had various concerns such as the fact that my family did not favor the idea of going abroad, that my closest friends would not come, and that the euro-tl exchange rate would be challenging for a student even at that time. But at the same time, I wanted to improve my English further, meet new people and mingle with different cultures, see new places, learn about the history and story of the place and try new flavors.

Somehow I put my worries aside and decided to go and started to make my preparations. At the end of a lot of procedures such as visa, passport, health insurance, contacting the place to be visited for course equivalence, it was only left to buy my plane ticket and wait to go.

On September 26th, I was going to take the 6.30 a.m. flight, but there were rumors on the news that the flights might be postponed due to excessive rainfall and storms in the Black Sea region that evening. My friends and I were going to fly from Ordu to Istanbul and from there we were going to take another flight to Berlin and then take a bus to Wałbrzych in Poland, where we were going to stay. But the postponement of the Ordu-Istanbul flight would have caused all our other tickets to be burned, so we prayed until the morning that this would not happen. But in the morning we woke up with the message 'your flight has been postponed due to weather conditions'. So we got ready in a hurry, took our suitcases and set off for the airport. But there was so much rain and wind that even the car could hardly move, how could the airplane. Somehow we reached the airport, but they told us that all flights were canceled and the only thing they could do was to catch the flight from Samsun. So we burned our ticket, said goodbye to our family and got on the bus to Samsun. By the way, I got on the bus with a friend from Ordu, we were going to meet the others in Istanbul. Anyway, somehow we arrived in Samsun, but they told us that the earliest flight was to Ankara, and we explained that this could not happen because our other flight was from Istanbul, because the planes were not from the same company and it was out of the question for them to make any change. So we took a little risk and bought a ticket for the flight to Istanbul, which could coincide with the very end. Somehow we got on the plane, and this was also my first time on a plane. When we got on the plane, we took a deep sigh, fastened our seat belts and slept with the tiredness of what we had experienced until we got to Istanbul.

When we landed, luckily there was 30 minutes before the plane took off, so we immediately did our check-in procedures etc. We met our other friends and chatted until the plane took off.
When we landed in Berlin we were about to die of exhaustion. We parted ways with other friends at the airport because they were going to Bydgoszcz, Poland and we were going to Wałbrzych , Poland.
After 4 hours of waiting, our bus arrived and we set off for our 6-month stay.

Contrary to popular belief, not all roads in Europe were smooth and we traveled with shaking, shaking and clattering noises along the way. First we got off in Wroclaw and took the train to Wałbrzych . From there we asked which bus would go to the university and went to the university. There we did the dormitory procedures, found out our rooms and went to bed as soon as possible. We slept for 6 hours that day. The first thing we did was to hang the Turkish flag in the room.

Yaklaşık 2 aydır Hive'deyim ve burada olmaktan da fazlasıyla memnunum. Her yazdığım postta yeni insanlar tanıyıp farklı topluluklara üye oluyorum. Genelde bana hitap eden topluluklarda yer alsam da diğerleri de ilgimi çekiyor. Ben de bu postumda ve diğer serilerinde erasmus eğitimim boyunca gezdiğim yerleri , yaşadığım komik -üzücü anları sizlerle paylaşacağım. Bu postum biraz daha giriş postu gibi olacak diğer serilerde daha çok fotoğraf ve anı olacak.

Erasmus Maceram

2019 yılında üniversite 3.sınıftayken okumakta olduğum üniversitenin imkanlarıyla sınava girerek Polonya'da eğitim hakkı kazandım. Başta kararsızdım gitsem mi gitmesem mi noktasında. Bunda hem ailemin yurtdışı fikrine sıcak bakmaması, en yakın arkadaşlarımın gelmeyecek olması , o zamanda bile euro-tl kurunun bir öğrenci için zorlayıcı olacağı gibi çeşitli endişelerim vardı. Ama aynı zamanda İngilizcemi daha da geliştirme imkanı, yeni insanlarla tanışıp farklı kültürlerle kaynaşma düşüncesi, yeni yerler görüp oranın tarihi, hikayesi hakkında bilgiler öğrenip, yeni lezzetler denemek istiyordum.

Bir şekilde endişelerimi bir kenara koyup gitmeye karar verdim ve hazırlıklarımı yapmaya başladım. Vize, pasaport, sağlık sigortası, ders denkliği için gidilecek yerle iletişimde olmak gibi bir sürü işlemin sonunda uçak biletimi de alıp gitmek için beklemek kalmıştı sadece.

26 eylül sabah 6.30 uçağıyla yola çıkacaktım ama haberlerde o akşam Karadeniz bölgesinde aşırı yağış, fırtına olmasından dolayı uçuşların ertelenebileceği yönünde söylentiler vardı. Ben ve arkadaşlarım da Ordu’dan İstanbul’a uçup ordan da başka bir uçakla Berlin’e geçip , otobüsle kalacağımız yer olan Polonya’nın Wałbrzych şehrine geçecektik. Ama Ordu-İstanbul uçağının ertelenmesi diğer bütün biletlerimizin yanmasına sebep olacaktı biz de sabaha kadar bunun olmaması için dua ettik. Ama sabah ‘hava şartlarından dolayı uçuşunuz ertelenmiştir’ mesajıyla uyanmıştık. Biz de apar topar hazırlanıp valizleri de alıp havaalanına doğru yola çıktık. Ama o kadar çok yağmur, rüzgar vardı ki araba bile zor ilerliyordu ki uçak nasıl gitsin. Bir şekilde havaalanına vardık, ama bize bütün uçuşların iptal olduğunu yapabilecekleri tek şeyin Samsun’dan kalkan uçağa yetiştirebilecekleriydi. Biz de o biletimizi yakıp Samsun’a geçmek için ailemizle vedalaşıp otobüse bindik. Bu arada Ordu’dan bir arkadaşımla bindik, diğerleriyle İstanbul’da buluşacaktık. Neyse bir şekilde Samsun’a vardık ama bize en erken uçağın Ankara’ya olduğunu söylediler biz de diğer uçağımız İstanbul’dan kalktığı için bunun olamayacağını anlattık çünkü uçaklar aynı firmadan değildi ve herhangi bir değişim yapmaları söz konusu değildi. Biz de biraz risk alarak tam ucu ucuna denk gelebilecek İstanbul uçağına bilet aldık. Bir şekilde uçağa bindik bu aynı zamanda benim ilk uçağa binişimdi. Uçağa bindiğimizde derin bir oh çekip kemerlerimizi bağladık ve İstanbul’a gidene kadar yaşadıklarımızın yorgunluğuyla uyuduk.

İndiğimizde neyse ki uçağın kalkmasına 30 dk vardı biz de hemen check-in işlemlerimizi vs. yapıp diğer arkadaşlarımızla buluşup uçak kalkana kadar sohbet ettik.
Berlin’e indiğimizde yorgunluktan ölmek üzereydik. Diğer arkadaşlarla yollarımız havaalanında ayrılıyordu çünkü onlar Polonya’nın Bydgoszcz şehrine giderken biz Wałbrzych şehrine gidiyorduk.
4 Saatlik beklemenin ardından otobüsümüz geldi ve 6 ay kalacağımız yere gitmek için yola çıktık.

Sanılanın aksine Avrupa’daki bütün yollar pürüzsüz değildi yol boyunca sallana sallana , takur tukur seslerle gittik. Önce Wroclaw şehrinde inip trene binip Wałbrzych'e geçtik. Oradan sorarak hangi otobüsün üniversiteye gideceğini öğrenip üniversiteye geçtik. Orada yurt işlemlerini yapıp odalarımızı öğrenip bir an önce yatağa bıraktık kendimizi . O gün aralıksız 6 saat uyumuştuk. İlk yaptığımız şeyse Türk bayrağını odaya asmak olmuştu..
