And there I was, in the middle of that crowd demanding answers for what had happened. You could see the desperation, the suffering, and the lack of hope on people's faces. We were all in front of the main offices of International Coffee INC. A large conglomerate of coffee companies all over the world, but the reason why we were there demanding prompt answers in front of some corporate offices has its explanation, and to know it we must go to about 3 months ago when the worst disaster in the history of coffee companies occurred.

It all happened one Thursday morning, I was taking my forklift position in the unloading area, and my 2 brothers had finally gotten jobs at International Coffee INC. But in the roasting area, since it was the area where fewer people wanted to work because of the extreme conditions, my mother taught me and my brothers since we were little that a real man is formed by working hard, and honestly, they accepted those jobs, besides when they were hired they were promised high salaries for working in unfavorable conditions.

Everything was going very well until 11:35 a.m. that Thursday, when the fire alarm sounded, and all the workers in the unloading area, ran into the parking lot since we had been trained very well in the constant drills. But something strange happened, only those of us who were in the unloading area were there in the parking lot, but many people were missing, and while we were wondering of us what had happened, explosions occurred and a huge flame consumed everything before our eyes. The destruction was brutal, I have never seen anything like it in my life.

But I am thinking about my brothers and I desperately wanted to know how they were, so I tried to enter, but the security guards of the company did not let us pass and even became violent with those who had family members inside. So I jumped on a truck and rammed the main entrance and with the proper firefighting equipment, I immediately ran to the roasting area to rescue my brothers.

But when I arrived I could not hold back my tears, as the scene was extremely gruesome, all the bodies of more than 50 workers were piled up in an entrance burned by the explosion that had occurred, but amid my desperation to know if my two brothers were there in the middle of those burned corpses I saw something that seemed very strange to me, the doors were sealed with padlocks.

As there was no way to remove the padlocks, I went back out to the parking lot and everyone ran to me trying to find answers after I explained to them they all began to cry inconsolably, as they all had family or friends in that roasting area. Days went by and no one was getting answers, now and then I would watch the news and newspapers, but nothing was happening.

Until all of us who were looking for answers got together and went to the main offices of International Coffee INC. to demand answers for what happened, we all knew the truth about the locks, but all questions were dismissed by the corrupt lawyers, but with the help of social networks a campaign was started to demand the truth and many people around the world who had gone through similar situations with this conglomerate joined our protest.

So we are back to the beginning, here we are in front of the offices again demanding answers for the more than 50 lives lost until an investigation through intelligence services showed that the owner wanted to collect the insurance money which was a millionaire sum and had to somehow cause an accident with the company where we worked, but as these 50 workers saw how hired assassins bought by the owner were trying to cause an accident with a gas leak, they had to lock them up and let them die to be silenced.

We were all very angry, but this investigation came to nothing, the owner left the country and never went to jail, the incident was classified as a work accident and the families of the victims were only given $200 as compensation, and the justice system remained silent and did not favor those who should have been favored.
