Are you fond of your pet? I can answer yes, because after a pet is part of your family, whether it is a dog or a cat or whatever you like as a pet, you create an unbreakable bond with that special animal, which is even remembered many years after your pet is gone. This happened to me with a little cat I had that was called pantuflo, like a slipper haha, that cat was very special to me during my teenage years, when I went through many circumstances, pantuflo was there to help me with his purrs haha.

This is precisely what DOG is about, starring channing tatum, who is Jackson an ex-military man with many problems in life such as economic, psychological and personal. And then comes Lulu (a Belgian Malinois war dog) into Jackson's life where he has to successfully complete a mission. The movie is a comedy genre, but, although it was a bit crushed by the critics, in my personal opinion it is a good movie of channing tatum, since besides acting in the movie he also participated in the direction of it.

Trama / Plot

En primera instancia vemos a Lulu, una perrita militar que ha sufrido mucho estrés postraumático debido a las intensas peleas en las que ha estado, tambien ha sido herida y estuvo al borde de la muerte. Lulu es compañera de un ranger que murió en un accidente de tránsito. Lulu es una perra muy agresiva debido a los traumas que paso en la guerra, pero como su amaestrador que falleció quería que lulu estuviera en su funeral, allí es donde entra Jackson Briggs, que tiene la misión de llevar a Lulu por carretera desde la Base de la Fuerza Aérea McChord en Washington hasta Nogales, Arizona. La misión de Jackson es llevar a Lulu hasta el funeral para después ser sacrificada ya que nadie quiere adoptarla por su alto nivel de agresividad.

Pero durante el viaje, Jackson poco a poco se va encariñado con Lulu, aunque su objetivo principal es llevarla hasta el funeral de su amigo ranger y luego que le den trabajo nuevamente en el ejército, ya que Jackson pasa por muchos problemas económicos por no conseguir trabajo, pero es porque tambien sufre estrés postraumático y algunas veces entra en pánico y se desespera. Pero las aventuras que viven Jackson y Lulu durante el viaje hace que crezca una conexión fuerte en ambos.

La película tiene un poco de todo, ya que hay escenas muy graciosas, escenas dramáticas y escenas de acción, todo es muy equilibrado. Pero lo que más me gusto es como la película trata de mostrar el fuerte lazo que existe entre un ser humano y su mascota, que como comenté al principio así uno de los dos muere el otro lo recordara siempre. En cuanto a las escenas chistorras hay muchas, sobre todo cuando Lulu encuentra un cultivo de marihuana, y son capturados por el dueño, pero todo resulta ser una parada de conexión astral y mucha hierba. Otra escena que me causo mucha gracias es cuando Jackson y Lulu se quedan en un hotel lujoso haciéndose pasar por veteranos ciegos de la guerra, una escena épica.

The movie has a little bit of everything, as there are very funny scenes, dramatic scenes and action scenes, everything is very balanced. But what I liked the most is how the movie tries to show the strong bond that exists between a human being and his pet, and as I said at the beginning, even if one of them dies, the other will always remember him. As for the funny scenes there are many, especially when Lulu finds a marijuana crop, and they are captured by the owner, but it all turns out to be a stop of astral connection and a lot of weed. Another scene that caused me a lot of thanks is when Jackson and Lulu stay in a luxurious hotel pretending to be blind war veterans, an epic scene.

Otra cosa que considero bastante buena es la actuación de channing tatum, Me recordó mucho a otras películas como 21 Jump Street ya que tiene momentos chistosos que te hacen recordar las dos películas de esa saga como cuando consume marihuana con el granjero se parece mucho cuando Channing y Johan consumen la droga sintética o Dear John, donde tambien interpreta a un soldado y tiene episodios de TEPT.

Another thing that I consider pretty good is the performance of Channing Tatum, it reminded me a lot of other movies like 21 Jump Street as it has funny moments that make you remember the two movies of that saga as when he consumes marijuana with the farmer, it is very similar when Channing and Johan consume the synthetic drug or Dear John, where he also plays a soldier and has episodes of EPT.
