Eso es el resultado que consigues en internet si buscas que es lo que deben hacer los niños de entre 9 años y 12 años, y la verdad es así ya que todos los que alguna vez fuimos niños pasamos por eso mismo, nuestro primordial interés era entablar amistades, jugar sin descansar y comer todos los dulces posibles. Pero lamentablemente en países donde azota la guerra, la realidad que viven los niños es muy distinta a la que conocemos, ya que, en vez de jugar y entablar amistades, están huyendo por sus vidas, están asustados de que ese día sea el ultimo de sus vidas, además no saben si volverán a ver a sus parientes o amigos o si lograran salir de esa situación tan horrible. Eso es lo que actualmente viven millones de niños en países como Ucrania, siria, libia, Yemen, etiopia, o en países donde no hay una guerra declarada entre naciones o civil, pero si hay un conflicto armado contra carteles o mafias grande y peligrosas que hacen estragos en la población local como Colombia, México o demás países latinoamericanos.

Y esa realidad que viven cada día estos niños, es la que retrata muy bien la película "Voces Inocentes o Casas de Cartón", dirigida por el mexicano Luis Mandoki y estrenada en el 2004. Y cuenta la historia de Chava un niño de 12 años que vivió durante el conflicto armado del salvador en los años 80's, cuando el gobierno del salvador enfrento grupos armados de guerrilleros de campesinos, la historia se desarrolla en Cuscatancingo que fue uno de los últimos pueblos del salvador en caer atrapado en medio de la guerra.

Chava es un niño salvadoreño que vive circunstancias difíciles, ya que además de vivir en extrema pobreza, su padre decide abandonar a la familia, lo que deja a Chava como el hombre de la casa, además está pasando un conflicto armado que cada vez empeora en el salvador, con constantes enfrentamientos entre los soldados del gobierno y el Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN). La mama de Chava vive en constante miedo ya que a la edad de 12 años los niños varones son reclutados por ambos bandos de la guerra para pelear en sus filas, y como la mama de chavas quiere para él un buen futuro trata de esconderlo y evitar a los soldados. Además, Chava debe trabajar desde muy temprano hasta muy tarde en la noche para poder traer dinero a su hogar, él trabaja de colector de autobús, aunque esto casi le cuesta la vida. Chava deberá ver con sus propios ojos lo crudo y horrible que la guerra puede llegar a ser, ya que perderá a amigos, familiares y su hogar.

Personalmente esta película impacto mucho en mi infancia, porque me recuerda lo muy agradecido que debo estar por las cosas que tengo, ya que fui un niño muy afortunado. Ya que es una de esas películas que vez una sola vez y te deja marcada una gran lección de vida, que en mi caso fue apreciar mucho todo lo que tengo, así no fuera lo que otros tuvieran. La historia de Chavas fue basada en eventos reales, donde cientos de niños que debieron ir a las escuelas, jugar con amigos y crecer hasta llegar a una vida adulta no pudieron hacerlo, muchos de estos niños salvadoreños fueron masacrados por soldados del gobierno o por guerrilleros. Otros fueron obligados a unirse a las filas del ejército para pelear por una guerra totalmente absurda que duro 12 largos años y que dejo casi 100 mil muertos segun cifras extra oficiales, esto sin contar a los cientos de niños sobrevivientes que quedaron con traumes de por vida. Así que cuando vi esta película por primera vez, me senti afortunado de que no viví algo así, no tuve que vivir nunca los horrores de la guerra, siempre tuve todo lo que necesité y más, algo que lamentablemente muchos de estos niños nunca pudieron tener.

Personally, this movie had a great impact on my childhood, because it reminds me how grateful I should be for the things I have, since I was a very lucky child. It is one of those movies that you only see once and it leaves you with a great life lesson, which in my case was to appreciate everything I have, even if it wasn't what others had. The story of Chavas was based on real events, where hundreds of children who should have gone to school, played with friends and grew to adulthood were not able to do so, many of these Salvadoran children were massacred by government soldiers or guerrillas. Others were forced to join the ranks of the army to fight a totally absurd war that lasted 12 long years and left almost 100,000 dead according to unofficial figures, not counting the hundreds of surviving children who were left with lifelong traumas. So when I saw this movie for the first time, I felt fortunate that I did not live something like that, I never had to live the horrors of war, I always had everything I needed and more, something that unfortunately many of these children could never have.

Otra cosa que me impacto de esta película es la gran crueldad que existe en las personas ansiosas de poder, ya que son capaces de llegar hasta el punto de exterminar a cientos de miles de personas para lograr objetivos, como nos muestra la película, el gobierno del salvador quería erradicar a toda costa la insurgencia y con este objetivo asesinaron sin piedad a quienes se les interpusieron, sin importar si estaban a favor o no de la guerrilla. Claro debo admitir que es una película con crudas escenas de violencia, y por eso es clasificada R en algunos países o para mayores de 18 años, pero así es la guerra y peor de lo que esta película lo muestra. Por eso cuando veo películas, así como el pianista, los gritos del silencio, entre otras, pienso que a la humanidad le hace falta con mucha urgencia que se terminen todas las guerras absurdas. Además, me hace pensar con firmeza que ninguna guerra humana es necesaria ni buena, ya que son muchos los inocentes que sufren y en un mayor caso los niños, que sus vidas son segadas sin darles la oportunidad de crecer y llegar a ser adultos.

Another thing that struck me about this film is the great cruelty that exists in people eager for power, as they are capable of going to the point of exterminating hundreds of thousands of people to achieve their goals, as the film shows us, the government of El Salvador wanted to eradicate the insurgency at all costs and with this objective they killed mercilessly those who got in their way, regardless of whether they were in favor or not of the guerrillas. Of course I must admit that it is a movie with crude scenes of violence, and that is why it is rated R in some countries or for over 18 years old, but that is war and worse than this movie shows it. That's why when I see films like The Pianist, The Screams of Silence, among others, I think that humanity urgently needs to end all absurd wars. In addition, it makes me think firmly that no human war is necessary or good, since there are many innocent people who suffer and in a greater case children, whose lives are mowed down without giving them the opportunity to grow up and become adults.

En conclusión, Voces inocentes es una película reflexiva, donde vez en carne propia los sufrimientos de niños que no quieren participar de una guerra sangrienta y sin sentido, sobre todo en las escenas donde los soldados ejecutan a niños porque quieren unirse a la guerrilla, vez la desesperación y el miedo en sus ojos, así como una gran confusión. Me gustaría decir que la recomiendo, pero esta es una de esas películas que vez por decisión propia, ya que no todos pueden aguantar películas así.
