Today I am pleased to show you an easy and simple recipe that lately has solved the healthy dinners that I am trying to make. With few ingredients I made what in my country we call falafel or as I say: "healthy roll." I hope you like it and try it at home because the best of all is that we need few ingredients, let's start!
INGREDIENTES | INGREDIENTS
- Pan árabe | Arabic bread
- Cebolla y tomate | Onion and tomato
- Lentejas | Lentils
- Harina de maíz precocida | Precooked cornmeal
- Mostaza | Mustard
PASOS | STEPS
The first step is to make the dough for the croquettes. I use the lentils that are ready from lunch, so they are already cooked and seasoned. To harden the lentils, I use pre-cooked cornmeal so that it takes a dough consistency and can easily make the croquettes.
Then we are going to grease a pan and let it heat until we can place the croquettes so that they are fully cooked.
While we are cooking the croquettes, we begin to cut the vegetables that we want to add to our roll. I decided to make it with tomato and onion chopped into thick strips so that its flavor could be felt because it is what I like.
When the croquettes are ready, we spread the mustard or the dressing of your preference to the Arabic bread and then we organize all the ingredients that we decide to use to fill the roll.
Finally we cut in half and voila! A rich option for breakfast, lunch or dinner that apart from being super simple, I can be as healthy as you prefer. I hope you liked my recipe of the day and that you are encouraged to prepare it at home.
