Mushroom fashion show - autumn collection

avatar

I missed the forest food show yesterday (I couldn't find any edible mushrooms, even though there are supposed to be plenty!), but in return I saw a lavish fashion show featuring mushrooms. The whole forest was the scene, especially the wet valleys within it.
I was transported to a lush fairy world where chervil and chickweed formed a bright green carpet.

Small tinder mushrooms dressed in gold-edged frilly dresses, like flamenco dancers.
The only difference is that they look immobile, but they are actually growing slowly.

I saw masses of ladies in white hats with hats so big you couldn't see their feet. The bottoms of their hats were pale pink. Maybe forest "champignons"? I am not convinced they are safe to eat.

I also visited part of the huge cliffs around Pákozd. At the biggest rocks, there is a very steep path leading down into the valley, so I had to be very careful where I stepped.

Down in the valley the show went on. Ruffles are still in fashion, this time with white edges.

They showed me what it is like when all the members of a big family wear the same tiny hat. Of course, there's always the rebel who wears a big red hat just for the sake of it!

The white patched brown hat goes well with the white collar. It's really chic, and will always stay in style as long as it's forest here.

The torn hat contrasts with the elegance of the previous one. Young and rebellious.

Somehow I notice that some fungi prefer to wear the same hat.

An unusual solution is the velvety gel hat in a reddish brown colour. At first I thought it was a group of slugs!

Simple, classic cut, with a bright red rain hat that can be placed on the head instead of an umbrella. Perfect for a walk in the rain!

Winter is coming, and with it comes the return of fur. But I could be wrong, and this is still a mushroom costume disguised as summer sea coral.

The awkward look is part of fashion, but I guess the designer meant it as a joke!

The designer has also thought of the older generation with this comfortable, soft leather hat.

More dancers came in front of my eyes (or rather my feet), I had to be careful not to step on them. Their delicate silk dresses accentuate their feminine beauty and grace.

The show will last at least until the first frosts, so it's worth going out with at least a phone to take photos!
