What I'm reviewing in this post is a nearly 400-page book, a comic. For a "comic", nearly 400 pages is thick. The title is SHAMAN KING COMPLETE EDITION VOLUME 3. It is an Indonesian edition which combines volume 5 and volume 6 of the original (Japanese) edition. This is not the old Shaman King series (which ended with 32 volumes), but the latest one (ie ended with 35 volumes by a different Japanese publisher than before). In Indonesia, which ended with 32 volumes, it was published by publisher m&c, which ended with 35 volumes is published by publisher Elex Media in 2 in 1 format. There will be 17 volumes of which the volume 17 will be 3 in 1 (that's what the editor said).
Yang kureview di postingan ini adalah sebuah buku setebal hampir 400 halaman, sebuah komik. Untuk "komik", hampir 400 halaman adalah tebal. Judulnya adalah SHAMAN KING COMPLETE EDITION VOLUME 3. Merupakan edisi Indonesia yang mana gabungan dari volume 5 dan volume 6 dari edisi asal (Jepang). Ini bukanlah seri Shaman King yang dahulu (yang tamat dengan 32 volume), melainkan yang terbaru (yaitu tamat dengan 35 volume oleh penerbit di Jepang yang berbeda dari sebelumnya). Di Indonesia, yang tamat dengan 32 volume dahulu diterbitkan oleh penerbit m&c, yang tamat dengan 35 volume ini diterbitkan oleh penerbit Elex Media dengan format 2 in 1. Akan ada 17 volume di mana volume 17 nanti adalah 3 in 1 (begitulah kata editornya).

In the second battle, Yoh has to fight a Necromancer, Faust VIII. However, Yoh is overwhelmed by Faust's unusual tactics. Yoh is pressed continuously until his furyoku is at the threshold! Does Yoh have a tactic to turn things around!?

This comic series tells the story of Yoh Asakura, a new student in Manta Oyamada's class who just transferred from Izumo, who is actually a shaman! That said, shamans are people who are said to be able to connect the real world and the spirit world, can also interact with spirits and gods and borrow their powers. Yoh, who came to train, meets Amidamaru, a samurai spirit from 600 years ago who eventually becomes his own spirit. Yoh's dream is to become a Shaman King.
Komik serial ini bercerita tentang Yoh Asakura, murid baru di kelas Manta Oyamada yang baru pindah dari Izumo, sebenarnya seorang shaman! Konon, shaman adalah orang-orang yang konon mampu menghubungkan dunia nyata dan dunia roh, juga dapat berinteraksi dengan arwah maupun dewa dan meminjam kekuatan mereka. Yoh yang datang untuk berlatih, bertemu Amidamaru, roh samurai dari 600 tahun lalu yang akhirnya menjadi roh miliknya. Impian Yoh adalah menjadi Shaman King.
In the previous volume, the Shaman Fight competition (a competition for who will become the Shaman King, a competition held every 500 years) had started, Yoh's opponent in the first preliminaries: the first match is Horohoro of the Ainu tribe with his spirit named Kororo.
Di volume sebelumnya, kompetisi Shaman Fight (kompetisi memperebutkan siapa yang akan menjadi Shaman King, kompetisi yang diselenggarakan 500 tahun sekali) telah dimulai, lawan Yoh dalam babak penyisihan pertama: pertandingan pertama adalah Horohoro dari suku Ainu dengan rohnya yang bernama Kororo.

The loser does not mean the hope is gone, because each participant must win at least 2 of 3 matches in the first preliminaries to continue.
Yang kalah bukan berarti habis harapan, karena tiap peserta harus memenangkan setidaknya 2 dari 3 pertandingan dalam babak penyisihan pertama untuk bisa lanjut.
Yoh's second opponent is a Necromancer named Faust VIII. How will Yoh fate, will he win against Faust VIII.

📎 This comic is physically very attractive: thick, has a jacket cover, the type of papers is bookpaper (not newsprint), there is color page (well, the number of color pages for this volume is only 1 page, previous volumes have several colored pages).
📎 Both jacket cover and inner cover are glossy. The jacket cover uses the cover of volume 5 of the original edition and the inner cover uses the cover of volume 6 of the original edition, of course modified.
📎 This volume contains 18 chapters, 2 additional stories (Kisah Funbarigaoka ("The Tale of Funbarigaoka" in English) and Tamao Sang Malaikat Cupid Kokkuri ("Tamao the Angel Cupid Kokkuri" in English)), and 3 remix tracks (Remix Track:1 Social Patchwork, Remix Track:2 This is Suami, Remix Track:3 Sleepy Follow). In previous volumes, there are no additional stories and remix tracks.

📎 The illustrations are good, but I'm not comfortable with the illustrations of the three remix tracks. I'm comfortable with regular illustrations (other than remix tracks).
📎 Komik ini secara fisik sangat menarik: tebal, ada sampul jaketnya, jenis kertasnya adalah bookpaper (bukan kertas koran), ada halaman warnanya (yah, jumlah halaman warna untuk volume ini adalah 1 halaman saja, volume-volume sebelumnya ada beberapa halaman yang berwarna).
📎 Baik sampul jaket maupun sampul dalam adalah glossy. Sampul jaket menggunakan sampul volume 5 dari edisi asal dan sampul dalam menggunakan sampul volume 6 dari edisi asal, tentu saja dimodifikasi.

📎 Ilustrasi-nya bagus, hanya saja yang di ketiga remix track aku kurang nyaman dengan ilustrasinya. Aku sudah nyaman dengan ilustrasi biasa (selain remix track).
