Tempeh Katsu with Butter Sauce
Tempeh is a typical Indonesian food ingredient that can be made into a variety of dishes. A few days ago, I made Tempeh Katsu with Butter Sauce. You can make tempeh katsu instead of chicken katsu.
Tempe adalah bahan masakan khas Indonesia yang bisa dibuat menjadi berbagai macam masakan. Beberapa hari yang lalu, aku membuat Tempe Katsu dengan Saus Mentega. Tempe katsu bisa kalian buat sebagai pengganti dari ayam katsu.

• 4 cloves of garlic |
• 1 onion |
• 2 sachets of Ajinomoto - Saori - Butter Flavored Sauce (1 sachet: 26 ml) or another butter flavored sauce |
• Tomato ketchup |
• About 8 tablespoons of wheat flour |
• 6 red chilies |
• Salt |
• Sugar |
• Pepper powder |
• Powdered broth |
• Water |
• Breadcrumbs |
• Cooking oil |
• About 2 tablespoons of margarine |

• 2 butir telur |
• 4 siung bawang merah |
• 4 siung bawang putih |
• 1 buah bawang bombay |
• 2 saset Ajinomoto - Saori - Saus Rasa Mentega (1 saset: 26 ml) atau saus rasa mentega yang lain |
• Saus tomat |
• Sekitar 8 sendok makan tepung terigu |
• 6 buah cabai merah |
• Garam |
• Gula |
• Merica bubuk |
• Kaldu bubuk |
• Air |
• Tepung panir |
• Minyak goreng |
• Sekitar 2 sendok makan margarin |
HOW TO MAKE:
CARA MEMBUAT:
● Blend 2 eggs with 2 cloves of garlic.
Blender 2 butir telur dengan 2 siung bawang putih.
● Put the result of the blender in a container, add about 8 tablespoons of wheat flour, salt, sugar, pepper powder, powdered broth. Stir. Add water and stir to adjust the thickness of the texture, if you feel the water is still not enough then add more water until you feel the thickness just right. Wet dressing is ready.
Taruh hasil blenderan di suatu wadah, tambahkan sekitar 8 sendok makan tepung terigu, garam, gula, merica bubuk, kaldu bubuk. Aduk. Tambahkan air lalu aduk untuk menyesuaikan kekentalan teksturnya, kalau airnya dirasa masih kurang maka tambah air lagi sampai kentalnya dirasa pas. Baluran basah pun sudah jadi.
● Slice 6 red chilies, 4 cloves of shallot, 2 cloves of garlic, and 1 onion.
Iris-iris 6 buah cabai merah, 4 siung bawang merah, 2 siung bawang putih, dan 1 buah bawang bombay.
● Cut into pieces about 445 grams of tempeh.
Potong-potong sekitar 445 gram tempe.
● Press the pieces of tempeh.
Tekan potongan-potongan tempe.
● Coat the tempeh with the wet dressing and then coat with breadcrumbs.
Baluri tempe dengan baluran basah lalu baluri dengan tepung panir.
● Fry with cooking oil.
Goreng dengan minyak goreng.
● For the sauce, melt about 2 tablespoons of margarine. Saute shallot slices, garlic slices, onion slices. Add red chili slices. Stir. Add butter flavored sauce and tomato ketchup. Stir. Add salt, sugar, powdered broth, pepper powder. Stir. Add enough water. Stir. Cook for some time.
Untuk sausnya, lelehkan sekitar 2 sendok makan margarin. Tumis irisan bawang merah, irisan bawang putih, irisan bawang bombay. Tambahkan irisan cabai merah. Aduk. Tambahkan saus rasa mentega dan saus tomat. Aduk. Tambahkan garam, gula, kaldu bubuk, merica bubuk. Aduk. Tambahkan air secukupnya. Aduk. Masak selama beberapa waktu.

First time knowing how to prepare Tempeh, though I've heard about it. Your post explains in detail how to prepare it and the ingredients needed. Correct me if I am wrong, Tempeh is made from fermented soya bean right?.This was a nice reading. Nicely done!
