My Labour and Child Birth Experience

Child birth itself is far from being painful. As a matter of fact, that moment of child birth brought me the greatest relief ever. I could almost say it is a sweet feeling. Its the most painless thing ever. Its like purging out 3kg of load I had carried for 9months in that one last push. I said its a sweet feeling because when my baby was ready, she just slipped out like she stepped on banana peel.

However, labour is where the pain was. Child labour was like menstrual cramp only that this time the cramp is so intense that I felt like I couldn't handle it but my body did. As a matter of fact, it was built for this and my body knew exactly how to give birth. This pain came and went at intervals with the next one stronger than the one before.

A satisfying moment was when I was delivered of the placenta. I was completely light weight. I felt good. All i wanted was to sleep and so I closed my eyes in an attempt to sleep only to be brought back by a slap on my shoulder followed by my baby's crying voice. I jolted back to full consciousness and I was told to behold my baby.

Oh my world! Holding my baby to my chest skin to skin was pure bliss. I couldn't be more proud. T'was that moment I knew Love. One of a different sort.

YES!!!!!! i didn't went through labor since mine was a c-section, but i hated my pregnancy i felt horrible the whole 9 months and while I was in the table waiting to be cut open i felt pressure for the position, i actually felt a little when the doctor cut in me, and definitely felt the whole push the other doctor did on my stomach to help the baby out, so for me the c-section was painful, but the moment the baby was out omg my body felt such a relief not only cause i knew i was finally going to see his face and be able to hold him but the feeling it self of finally getting him out of me was such a relief.

Wow! Yours was quite a unique experience.

However the experience unfolds, the relief is something that cut across.

...and the joy of seeing one's offspring.
