Cherry jam is one of the most delicious jams.

After washing the cherries, we remove the kernels from the inside of the cherries.

Pour into a bowl and pour 2 times the weight of the cherries on it. Put it in the refrigerator and give it 24 hours.

During this time, the cherries are juicy and ready to cook.

Put the cherries with the water in the pot and put them on the heat.

The heat should not be too high.

When it boils, remove the foam from the cherries with a spoon and discard.

(When we remove the foam, the color of the jam becomes transparent)

Let it boil for about half an hour on low heat.

If it boils for a longer time, the jam will harden. We must be careful not to let it settle or burn.

Now our jam is ready.

If there is a lot of jam water, we can separate some of the water and keep it in a glass and make and drink cherry syrup on hot summer days.

To make cherry syrup, pour one-fifth of a glass of syrup into the bottom of a glass and fill the rest with water. We can also use ice. Mix with a spoon and we will have a nice colored syrup.

On hot summer days it is a delicious drink and very hearty.
