The country is experiencing an array of humanitarian crises caused by flooding, rising food prices, conflict and disease.Source

Flooding on its own has caused so many issues within Sudan leading to several sickness and diseases and also destroying all the crops cultivated by farmers.

In recent years, the Sudanese hemisphere have been through a lot of humanitarian crisis ranging from inter-tribal wars, human right abuses as well as famine and food shortages within the country.

These incidents have lead to food shortages in Sudan, leading to malnutrition of people most especially children. Apart from the crisis in Sudan the entire world is going through high inflation rate caused by the high cost of fertilizer and the war ongoing in Ukraine.

Most mother's in Sudan with little children are finding it very difficult to adequately feed their children with food containing the right nutrients in them.

There are many mothers like her in Sudan, where the United Nations estimates that at least three million children under five are malnourished.
UNICEF says 20 percent of them suffer from severe acute malnutrition. Without treatment, about half will die, the UN agency says in a report.Source

It's very pertinent that children under five are usually at risk of malnutrition if they're not given nutritious food and this will cause severe diseases, exposing the child to weak immune system and gradually leads to death.

Just imagine that about 1.5 million die of malnutrition every year, it's truly a big issue that the international community needs to come in. If these numbers comes from Sudan, how many do you think die of malnutrition from other low income countries.

A mother known as Asha Ahmed said one of the implications of high level of malnutrition in Sudan have made her eight year old son to experience stunted growth. According to her when the child was 4 years old, he was eating very little food, but as time went on, it became more difficult to feed the child.

A poor harvest has made the humanitarian crisis worse. Food prices have skyrocketed, leaving many more families struggling to feed their children.

Staple food have skyrocketed between 250 and 300 percent compared with what it was by this time last year. If nothing is being done on time, it'll lead to many death both adults and children.

Therefore, we need the international community to help the suffering kids in Sudan and many other low income countries.

Thanks!
