MY COMPOUND TURNED TO NOISE HEADQUARTERS

Here is my response to the topic for edition 3 of week 87 engagement which focuses on noise pollution which i decided to tilted it "My compound turned to noise headquarters".
Pollution as a way of introduction means what destroys or contaminate an environment. From my days in primary and secondary school I was taught that there are many factors that causes pollution also pollution can be of many types which are; Noise pollution, Air pollution, water pollution, land pollution and many others. The focus of this write up is on the noise pollution. I was so happy when i saw this theme because it's timely and this is the current reality we've found ourselves.

Noise pollution is a type of pollution that is caused as a result of noise. It could be noise from the engine or heavy duty machines, children Playing and heating things outside or within a compound, it could be from music. Different factors causes noise pollution. I will practically share the one that came from my neighbour through music and public disturbance of too much talk. This kind of noise pollution normally happens when you leave in a rented apartment where every tenant has right to do what they want.

At the moment, i leave in a rented apartment where the landlord also lives there. I have had two to three encounters with varied tenants in the compound and all of them seems to have similar character. This neighbour just packed in recently and already the compound is becoming something else. He has a wife and a small baby. He doesn't stay at home always simply because of the nature of his work therefore most at times she's left with the kid at home.

There was this day that i was at home hmmm guess what? I couldn't have my peace at all because of the kind of noise she makes. She can talk from morning till evening. I think she goes on recess only when she needs to re-energize herself with food. My wife and I kept wondering why the man often stay outside perhaps because he can't bear with the frequency of the noise he hears at home. In Fact one of the days we had to intervene because she had issue with her husband.

If that was to be the only noise pollution then i would have celebrated but she can play music like a professional DJ. Most times she plays it at the maximum of the volume which turns the entire compound to a party hall. The unfortunate thing is that when landlord is around hardly do you hear such thing.
As I round up this, her daughter also is another noise pollutant. She can cry and shout... imagine you are enjoying your siesta at the peak suddenly such noise covered everywhere hmmm sleep is just cut short.
I don't like noise pollution but i had to develop another strategy to cope with it.

CONCLUSION

Pollution of any kind is not good at all because it does more harm to the environment and the ecosystem.
I think to curb noise pollution one should lean to regulate things.
The rate at which people have challenges with their ear these days is quite alarming in this axis.

The effect of noise pollution includes; Damage ear drum, increases BP, and other dangerous sicknesses.
