Hypnogogia: What you need to know it.

Do you know "hypnagogia" is the transitional state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep? It’s the opposite of hypnopompia, which is the transitional state that occurs before you wake up. During hypnagogia, it’s common to experience involuntary and imagined experiences. I'm sure many people have experienced this. This has nothing to do with sleeping paralysis, but it is a state whereby you are on your bed, ready to sleep, but different thoughts and imaginations keep running through your mind.

Many times, when I get in bed to sleep, I begin to imagine things that I don't really know if I'm actually imagining or if they're actually dreams. Sometimes, this makes me feel like I am in control of my dream, and if I concentrate well enough, I can wake up from those hallucinations. Most of my imaginations can be things I have thought about during the day or things I needed at that moment. It's more like living in a world of fantasy created by me. I can get married to the most beautiful lady in the world and have the most amazing wedding in my world. I can do and on do in my world but all this are based on what I allow in my world of dreams.

One thing you should know is that during hypnagogia, it’s common to experience involuntary and imagined experiences. These are referred to as hypnagogic hallucinations. Up to 70 percent of trusted sources say that people experience these hallucinations, which can appear in the form of sights, sounds, or even feelings of movement. Muscle jerks, sleep paralysis, and lucid dreams are also common during the hypnagogic phase.

Most of the time, it's always hard to fall fully asleep in this state because you are neither sleeping nor awake. You exist in a world crafted by your mind, where you orchestrate the events that unfold. At times, it resembles a dream, as certain occurrences in that state are not governed by our conscious self but by our subconscious, over which we have no dominion, except through profound, that is, you are very good at meditation. I most often fantasize about being a billionaire without having to have a money issue. Traveling the world and meeting important people I have only seen on TV. I want to be important too, so I most often imagine this during the state of hypnogogia.

A real dream

I just got back from work that evening, and I was unable to prepare dinner for myself. I regretted not eating at the roadside food vendor on my way back home. I got home with a stressed body, then decided to rest on the bed for a while before I started cooking. As soon as I got on the bed, I began to see myself walk our street to get food, I was almost getting to where I will get food and everything became black and white

At a point, I wasn't in control of what was going on around me again; the sky began to fall and people were running. I knew what I was doing because I was still half awake. I was trying to run back into my room while trying to get food. I began to struggle on the bed, and at that point, I struggled to sleep and get myself awake. Everything was looking so bad already, but I knew I wasn't sleeping, so I did all I could to get my eyes open. It was after I opened my eyes that I knew everything was happening based on my imagination.

That state is called "hypnogogia."
To avoiding getting into state like this often, you should watch your health, eat early and eat light food before your sleeping time. Watch your fragile level and, make sure you don't sleep on with a stressed mind and body. Thank you.

I even wonder how people who eat heavy before going to bed get to sleep because once I eat heavy before bed I won't be able to sleep, so with or without illness someone who wants to be healthy should always eat little and go to bed early.

Also, they also have to even eat early
Most time I have my dinner by 6:30 or 7pm and I’m done for the day

Have experienced this too but i can't remember what happened sha.. Never knew it has a name.
