Lessons from the mass inductrination day 3 held on the 12th January 2022 via zoom
It was a great time listening to great teaching from bro Eli. A lot of lessons were learnt and I just want to share few from the lessons.
Some of the important points learned from the words of God discussed in the Zoom meeting are:
- Christ is the only one authorized to teach the doctrine
- False teachers will came that will not teach the teaching of Christ but their own teaching.
- If what preachers preach deviate or conflict the word of God, then such a preacher is a false preacher
- We should compare one thing to another to find out the truth.
- We should check what is good and what is evil and hold on to what is good.
- It is our obligation to check what is good and what is evil.
- Calling upon God or praying is a doctrine og God.
- God does not listen to sinners. God is delighted the one praying is upright. But the prayer of the wicked is an abomination to God.
- We should avoid repetition when praying. God is not hard to talk to and He is not deaf or dumb.
- One way to make our prayer to be acceptable is to avoid show off.
- Praying should not be done to show off to men. It is a private matter.
- We can also pray standing but not like hypocrite who always pray standing.
- The early Christians knee down when they pray. When the early Christians prayed, if situation allows, they knee down.
- Every woman that pray with his head cover dishonor God and every woman that does not cover head dishonor her head.
My former beliefs or expectation that was improved for listening at the Zoom meeting
From the teaching, we now know that we don't need to keep repeating our prayers before God will answer us. He is not deaf or dumb to hear us.
Also, we now know the best position to pray. We have to knee down and brown down our head.
Ways in which the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives
From the teaching, we understand that God does not listen to sinners and the prayer of the wicked is abomination to God. He is delighted in the prayer of those that are up right. So as Christians, we need to be upright before God. We have to live our daily life avoiding sin.
