Hola chicos, ¿cómo están? El día de hoy les traigo un dibujo sobre un piloto. Les enseñaré paso a paso cómo lo hice para que puedan aprender a dibujar en el estilo caricatura.

Proceso creativo // Creative process

Era un día en el que caminaba por la calle y en medio de un tren de pensamientos recordé unos preciosos cuadros sobre aviones militares, por lo que al llegar a mi casa opté por continuar con mi serie de “Profesiones de caricatura” con un avión manejado por un piloto alegre.

It was a day when I was walking down the street and in the middle of a train of thoughts I remembered some beautiful paintings about military planes, so when I got home I opted to continue with my series of “Professions and caricature” with a plane piloted by a cheerful pilot.

Paso a paso // Step by step

Paso #1 El boceto // Step #1 The sketch

Como SIEMPRE comienzo dibujando las formas básicas en el espacio con el fin de orientarme. Un par de cajas para el torso, una esfera para la cabeza, unos cilindros para los brazos y las piernas. Incluyendo también la silueta del avión.

As ALWAYS I start by drawing the basic shapes in space in order to orient myself. A pair of boxes for the torso, a sphere for the head, some cylinders for the arms and legs. Also including the silhouette of the plane.

Paso #2 Darle forma // Step #2 Give it shape

En este segmento me enfoco en darle los rasgos faciales a nuestro personaje y en moldear el resto del cuerpo, en base a las figuras básicas que hicimos.

In this segment I focus on giving the facial features to our character and molding the rest of the body, based on the basic figures we made.

Paso #3 Vestirlo // Step #3 Dress him

Tal como indica el título le dibujo la ropa y accesorios al personaje, para eso busqué referencias en Pinterest, fue de mucha ayuda.

As the title indicates, I draw the clothes and accessories to the character, for that I looked for references on Pinterest, it was very helpful.

Paso #4 El repaso a bolígrafo // Step #4 The pen retrace

Valga la redundancia me enfoco en repasar con bolígrafo las líneas que me gustan del dibujo. Para posteriormente borrar las líneas que fueron realizadas a lápiz.

Forgive the redundancy, I focus on tracing with pen the lines that I like from the drawing. To later erase the lines that were made in pencil.

Paso #5 Colorear // Step #5 Color

En este paso coloreo los colores base y divido las partes donde hay luces y sombras. Absteniendome de agregarle los colores que transmiten el realismo a la sombra.

In this step I color the base colors and divide the parts where there are lights and shadows. Refraining from adding the colors that transmit realism to the shadow.

Paso #6 Profundizar en las sombras // Step #6 Deepen the shadows

Aquí coloco los colores que le transmiten autenticidad al dibujo, como lo es protagonicamente el azul marino y el morado.

Here I place the colors that give authenticity to the drawing, such as the prominent navy blue and purple.
