Proceso Creativo //Creative process

Era un día en el que yo veía mis bocetos de práctica y me llamo mucho la atención un dibujo que hice de una mijer sosteniendo una rebanada de torna de 30 de centimetros de Alto. Me sacó una sonrisa y, por ende quise reacerlo con todas las caracteristicas que le puedo plasmar como ilustrador.

One day, I was looking through my practice sketches and I noticed a drawing I made of a woman holding a 30-centimeter slice of cake. It made me smile, so I wanted to redo it with all the characteristics that I can bring out as an illustrator.

Paso a Paso // Step by step

Paso #1 El Boceto //Step 1: The sketch

Para empezar trazo formas simples para ubicar los cuerpos en el espacio, en este caso un óvalo para la cabeza y el estomago y un óvalo mas pequeño para las costillas.

To start, I draw simple shapes to place the bodies in space. In this case, an oval for the head and stomach, and a smaller oval for the ribs.

Paso #2 Darle Forma // Step 2: Giving it shape

Lo que hice fue agregarlela ropa, los objetos y los rasgos faciales. Para posteriormente deliniarlos con el bolígrafo.

I added the clothes, objects, and facial features. Then, I outlined them with a pen.

Paso #3 Los Colores Base // Step 3: The base colors

En este segmento me concentro en colocar los colores base de cada cosa y dejar en blanco el sitio donde iran las sombras.

In this step, I focus on placing the base colors for each thing and leaving the area where the shadows will go blank.

Paso #4 Agregarle luz y sombra. // Step 4: Adding light and shadow

Me encargo de colocarle la luz y la sombra. Decidí que la mujer fuera de tez morena para que resalte con el fondo blanco.

I add the light and shadow. I decided to make the woman have a brown complexion to make her stand out against the white background.
