The best epic card in Bronze for each splinter

The long, but fruitful NFT road

Surely we want them all, but if we're still starting our collection in Splinterlands, what is the first Epic card we want to buy for our favorite splinter? Let's cover each color so you know what to go for utility, and most importantly, why that is the case.

In fire splinter, we have Forgotten One, Tusk the Wide and Djinn Infernni. Bronze cards lately have big chunks of HP, so magic damage and low offense, which are not part of fire splinter's focus, shouldn't take priority. Forgotten one is the monster of choice here.

Next, for the water splinter, there's Nerissa Tridawn, Wave Brood and Igor Darkspear. Only Nerissa offers immediate threat. While Wave Brood may become important, it's too situational. Igor Darkspear can't establish any strategy by himself, which makes him nothing more than additional stats. Nerissa Tridawn stands out as the blue's epics queen.

Earth splinter offers Grund, Hunter Jarx and Acid Shooter. Someone may argue Grund is the best choice, but he takes a lot of mana. While still a quality pick (the complete opposite of Acid Shooter), you may want to favor Hunter Jarx, because he can kill the opponent's backline. As a tank, Pelacor Mercenary fills the gap anyway. Okay, I'll be real. Get Grund first if you can afford it.

When we look at life splinter epics, it's obvious Prismologist is the best pick. She synergizes perfectly with Chaos Legion's +1 rare summoner. Yes, that's what you're going for. Both Temporal Master and Dax Paragon can't do much by themselves.

Death splinter. Arguably the hardest Splinter to use. Also, arguably the easiest splinter to pick the best Epic from. Just like in life splinter which has Prismologist shining on top of everyone else, Magi Necrosi is terrifying. It deals high damage to the opponent's backline, yet it can't be targeted. Insidious Warlock is all right, but just like Weirding Warrior, it doesn't stand a chance.
