Half off! A fiction

Despite the news that Mark was now following in the newscast, one of the ads that most caught his attention was about the offer of the local government to free prices by offering residents of the municipality where he lived to apply a discount half off to municipal taxes.

Always thinking about how comfortable living in his neighborhood had been for him, now retired, enjoying that benefit would make his life more bearable and he could dedicate part of his budget to invest it in vacation offers and health. He had always thought that his life should not be limited to the four walls of his office and have to solve day-to-day problems, but he deserved to enjoy true freedom now that he began to have more free time.
