Her gifts don't require props: all that stuff is just pantomime.

It does help to focus on something.

Staring at water would probably make you feel good and think the way you should, Janet knows what she did, by looking at it, therefore, one could see that, water is life and a marvelous kind of substance that can greatly shape your life for good.
