Market situation with the selling of the birds(boilers) during the festive period// Did I make gain?

First of all let start the the cost of feeds for the broiler , the price is just increasing day by day at first I started with the feed I bought them for #7000 and now it has increased to #8000. The annoying part is that sometimes is that I might have prepared for the last price I bought it on getting there , they will tell me it has increased in price but thank God I know them and there is the place I usually buy feed so they will tell me to bring the money when next am coming that keeping good relationship with your customers and buyer.
I rear fifty day old boilers for the Christmas period and I was scared at first but with @peterale he courage me to do it. And here am I. I used almost two months to feed to this stage and they ate up to 10bags of feeds.

When I want to market the birds out I first price the ones they are selling outside which of the same age and size with my own . I ask the price so I know the range of people selling outside and then I came home calculate the price of of feed, cost of buying day old chick I bought with the drugs and miscellaneous like transportation and so on and divided it by the number of birds and added little money to it as profit. Sellers outside are selling their birds #4500 and # 5000 which are of the same sizes with mine but I sold mine at #4000 why? People will prefer to buy at cheaper price and one will be to sell everything at once because there is a lot of competition out there.
Do I make again from it selling at that price? Yes I make profit with it but that much but it is okay. The price is okay for people to patronize me again but if the price is much no one will come.
People are really complaining about the price of chicken that it will be costly even people I told to buy from me said they prefer to buy cow meat instead of chicken but on getting to the market the cost of cow was too much and they have to resort to chicken that what really help with the sales of chicken this year.

Thanks for checking out my blog and do have a lovely weekend.

Yeah,
That's where the issue lies, people don't really want to believe that the inflation of goods generally also affected chicken feed. Only few understand, while it is not so. Imagine! The price of a bag of feed last year was around $8 but now it has doubled, but still buyers expect you to sell Chickens the same price as last year when the a bag of feed has doubled. It's so challenging and I wish our our buys could understand.☹️

Thanks so much for your comment. Some the people I sold to did the same despite reducing the price of the chicken to the sellers outside they are still complaining
