The last set of final year students resumes school today

Everybody hates Monday was the first thing that came up in my head as I woke up from bed, I felt so lazy to even move my body to the ground. But I managed to force myself up to see what the day is hold for me this morning. Only to get outside to feel this lovely air blowing around and it was so fresh that it tells we are in a fresh week.

Indeed we have come this far as individuals and as a country, it has never being a long four months with a lot of hardships and cool ways for most of us. Everywhere has never being safe as the day moves by each second. The count of the pandemic keeps increasing, with so many talks about it that everyone has its own way of understanding the issue(s) at hand.

The 13th address of our President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to the nation came up last night exactly at 20:00 GMT, and it was lovely and heart cooling for anyone around not to fear about the recent gradual opening of schools. Our very tertiary students started off 2 weeks back, and just last week the senior high schools also followed.

So without much ado, I would want to tell the whole world that school have been opened for all final year junior high school students. But for the benefit of some part of the who deals with other system of classification junior high school is just the stage after one finishing of his or her grade 6 studies. So you can call these final year students as grade 9 students that is the last year these students faces to get to High school.

In this opening for all junior high school, the nation is welcoming seventeen thousand, four hundred and thirty-nine people which includes students, teaching and non- teaching staffs. All junior high schools at the time of writing this post have being fumigated and disinfected to allow other rodents and insects to be killed.

The government have distributed forty-five thousand veronica buckets,forty thousand thermometer guns, ninety thousand rolls of tissue papers, another ninety thousand gallons of liquid soaps, two million two hundred thousand reusable nose masks that would be share in threes among all students, teaching and non-teaching staffs, and on top of it all seven hundred and fifty thousand pieces of 200mil alcoholic based hand sanitizers.

These students would spend a total of eleven weeks in school after which they write their final examination which would grant them the chance to go to high school. Class will always start at 9am and end at 1pm each day until they are ready to write off their final exams. Apart from following all protocols to covid-19 like wearing of nose mask, washing of the hands with soap under running water and practicing social distancing among themselves.

To also add, the president made everyone aware that there will be no break outside the classroom, sporting activities and assemblies should be banned, all religious activities that are being held in schools were banned as well, for no one knows who might affect the other with covid-19.
