MUSIC REVIEW : Not Like the Movies (KATY PERRY)

The rise of the new pin-up girl in 2010, who wanted to be the woman of the American teenager's dream, suddenly ended in a touching ballad. In general, the second and middle albums feel rushed, so it feels too immersed, but that doesn't mean the songs themselves are bad. In fact, there aren't any outstanding melodic lines, and the overall production doesn't leave any particular impression. However, as in his previous work "Thinking of You", Katy Perry's sincere emotions contained in her voice which exploded after a calm start, unable to control her emotions, made this song solid. She, who sings a youthful romance song while wearing luxurious clothes, is actually an ordinary person who expects love like a movie.

And when you consider that she wrote the song on the first day she dated Russell Brand, who would later become her first husband, the ballad feels even sadder. In the lyrics, Katy Perry dreams of a fateful love affair with him, but their marriage does not last long. However, those moments allowed songs like "Roar" to be made, waking from his scars, and songs like "Never Worn White", the de facto sequel to which he announced earlier this year singing his love for Orlando Bloom. Come to think of it, considering my current partner is a movie star, maybe this song looks a little further into the future than it was then.
