Why WOO?

I was listening to the recent Chain Chatter Podcast hosted by the LeoFinance team (@Khaleekazi & @Anomadsoul) featuring the OGs of Hive - @Yabapmatt & @Theycallmedan. Eric asked Yaba - "When did you realize Splinterlands was a great idea to build?". Yaba said that he knew it immediately and if such a product existed at that time, he would put a responsible amount of money into it himself as a gamer and crypto enthusiast. That resonated with me even though I am not a hardcore gamer but I like games. Especially when you can get a return on your investment from such a fun thing.

I had the same epiphany when I first heard about Wrestling Orgnaization Online (WOO). Why?

  • I was a huge wrestling fan back in my school & college days and used to collect cards of my favorite wrestlers.
  • I love crypto and it's built on my favorite blockchain network - Hive.
  • I invest in cool games with unique themes. Never heard of any other P2E wrestling game before.

The cherry on the cake: WOO has a solid team to support and develop the project which is quite rare these days. For those who are hearing about it for the first time, it is an upcoming Play-2-Earn wrestling management game on the #HIVE Blockchain. Players can build their wrestling Organization by acquiring wrestlers, upgrading facilities, and competing to earn more games native token $WOO.

Alpha Pack General Sale Gone In 99 Seconds

On 31st October, there was a general sale. 30000 packs were sold out in a jiffy. You boi could manage to sweep 135 packs. xD I was 1 hour early to avoid any last-minute fucks which are common for a timid person like me. It took a while for the packs to show up once I confirmed my transactions. But all in all, it was as smooth as butter of an experience.

Next Steps

Since one of my goals this year to acquire as much digital real estate as I can, so I will be buying LAND here as well. It can be used to host battles and competitions. I feel you! I chanced upon WOO 1 year back when I FIRST discovered HIVE (thanks to splinterlands of course) at the peak of the Crypto Bull run.

Back then, WOO didn't even have a whitepaper yet, but I was intrigued by it's premises and decided to just casually follow it. Look where we are now 😜. Hopefully this good work continues and it lives up to it's promises.

I have seen quite a few people talking about it and some giveaways. So I have started building some supply of WOO tokens for myself but I am not sure if I want to start a new game yet due to time constraints.

I missed out on the Presale. I'm not all that into wrestling and I did not have much cryptocurrency left after joining two Presales from @splinterlands The team has been handling everything well building the community. WOO does come across like another @splinterlands although I'm not sure of the same level of success. There is a chance for WOO to do better than Genesis League Goals.

I am currently more of a Martial Arts guy but I was a WWE fan when I was a kid. Hulk Hogan was my favorite wrestler at that time. 😊

I saw this game being announced months ago, but was not interested in it as I initially thought it is just another "game" on Hive. However, I was in awe when I experienced on how they manage their team and events. They are also generous in giving away their tokens and packs. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, the chances that a startup company (game) will succeed relies largely on their team. This is the main reason why I am started accumulating their WOO token whenever I can.

As of now, I am seeing that WOO has the potential to be the next big thing to Splinterlands. And I regret not getting into investing into WOO much earlier.
