Potential Addition to the list of Favourites

Meatfree Monday's supper was out of the jar.

While I am always more than happy to sell all my wares on a Saturday, there are times I secretly hope that I don't. This Moroccan lentil salad is a good example. As I said on Saturday, it is a delicious winner and, I think, will soon join the growing list of (versatile) plant-based favourites.

Because the weather had turned cold (again), I served it on cumin-roasted sweet potatoes.

I think it would work equally well, if not better with couscous.

For dessert: the gift that keeps on giving. Homegrown stawberries that are more abundant than we have had in years. It's making me consider stashing them to make a small batch of jam...

Until next time, be well

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.

Homegrown strawberries!!! WOW! I must say you are very lucky to grow strawberries at home. In the country I live in, the weather isn't suitable. However, your roaster sweet potatoes look delicious 🤤 yummy 🤤

They are not indigenous and we have to protect them from the birds. I am glad they are bearing so well this year!

Wao! That's really cool. I love strawberries! For some reason, birds love plants too :3 I don't get it, even at my house, we plant, and birds often feed on them and ruin them. I am often confused to feel sad that they are hungry or be angry that the fruit is half-eaten. I am happy for your plants. May they grow plenty.

Thank you. The birds to love them. We have to get to them before they (or the centipedes) do!

Ah, then you must be very attentive and cautious. Hmmm bringing up plants is no easy task, after all. Best wishes for you.
