A mini Hive Meet-up

20231122_114257.jpg

Imagine my surprise when I see a missed call on my phone from a Hivean? I doesn't happen very often. Yes, @lizelle and I are in touch relatively frequently. Initially, that started over Hive and Silverblogger Community business, but over the last six or so months we share a different journey - widowhood - which has seen us checking in on each other from time to time.

Anyway, it turns out that @papilloncharity and his lovely wife are having a short break in a nearby town and:

Thought maybe we could come through and meet you. If that's okay then please let us know what the name of your best coffee house is where we can meet.

As it turns out, two things: I am really busy in my day job, but, secondly, I had to go to Robertson today, which is about half way between McGregor and Montagu where they're staying. So, we connected for coffee (at my favourite coffee spot in Robertson), conversation and care. I came away not just with this lovely goodie bag, but with a heart full of gratitude that the virtual can and does move into real life.

Thank you Zac and Marian for a lovely interlude. I look forward to your visit to McGregor.

PS - No, there were no selfies. We're Silverbloggers, after all!

Until next time

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised applications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

  • lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on @hive.blog and Canva.

Thank you for the mention, and it was such a pleasure to meet you Lady Fiona @fionasfavourites . We really enjoyed the time together at that lovely coffee shop, and it is always so much better to sit and discuss issues over the rim of some cafe lattes. You live in a beautiful area, full of mountains and nature, and the dry heat is so good for our ocean-drenched chests.
Thank you again for making time in your very busy schedule to meet with us. It was time really well spent !PIZZA and !LUV
It was truly a privilege to meet you.
Looking forward to meeting up again in the near future.
Blessings for the remainder of your week.

Awe what a lovely surprise to see you got to meet up with @papilloncharity and his lovely Marian, that must have been so special.
I've been feeling very sorry for myself, still nursing flu, courtesy of the hospital for sure, and no one here to listen to my aches and pains.
Lovely meeting that must have been Fiona ❤

Aww, that's a pleasant meeting, Fiona
But let me ask which rule states that Silver Bloggers don't take selfies, hehe 😉

😂😂😂It's not a rule. Taking selfies is something I tend to think about after the fact. Blame that on what you will! Perhaps the preference for being behind the camera!!
