Friday Files - birds and well, not bees...

A few months ago, I noticed that instead of the customary pair of rock martins on the satellite dish outside our bedroom window, there was just one. For a while, he continued that ritual and then the perch was empty. The nest where they had reared (we think) about four broods is abandoned. Then, this week, this pair adopted the perch.

Yes, they are love birds. They performed while we drank our morning tea.

In the meantime, on the other side of the window, despite the heat of the summer night, there are felines:

Including this one who wouldn't even venture into the house a year ago:

I am, in between the busy-ness of things, collating a series of his adoption of us. It's taking a while.

Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:

  • re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
  • and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
I blog to the Hive blockchain using a number of decentralised appplications.
  • From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

  • Join Hive using this link and then join us in the Silver Bloggers' community by clicking on the logo.

That is good news you have a pair back again, and do the cats try to get the birds from behind the window

Oh yes, they do! They're a bit loud so the birds flit away without a care in the world!
