Out of the jar
Most of you know that one of the things I do for the - each week - is something in a jar. They're always seasonal, and during winter, it's generally soup. Towards the end of summer, ratatouille and in early spring, also something that could be hot or cold, as it was this Saturday.
Last night's meatless Monday supper came out of jars that were left from Saturday's dismal market.
It's a rather delicious cauliflower and chickpea curry. I found the original recipe on the interweb and the first time I made it, I adapted it for what I had in my pantry. Now, I have made it my own. So, it's another recipe to write up.
I served it with homemade naan breads (I am getting better at them), avocado and lime wedges. The Husband also had rice...and with his second helping, finished the lot.
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

Whenever I make our typical hallacas we use pickles and many pieces of cauliflower come in it, so I eat them all before adding them to the stew. I love candied vegetables in vinegar.
I must find out about hallacas. I am not familiar with it or candied vegetables in vinegar. I do make a mixed pickle, but the vegetables are not candied.
@fionasfavourites Anything with avocado is absolutely delicious for me.
I love avo, too. It's such a short season here! I was also lucky that a friend got a bunch from a farmer, and let me have some.
My father-in-law had two avocado trees in his house, and when he harvested he shared them with the family, we ate it with practically everything. Unfortunately, he died a few years ago, and the new residents of the house put an end to everything. Now we have to buy if we want to eat them.
mmm it looks tasty and delicious
