“Vale la pena”, una frase corta pero con una significancia altamente importante hoy en día para un país que está al borde del colapso total de su economía. Una frase que resuena desde los fértiles valles de Aragua, en el próspero pero decaído paraíso que es Venezuela, un lugar donde se encuentra una hacienda, una empresa y una familia que ha acompañado a los Venezolanos desde tiempos de la colonia y que hoy quiero contarles como fue mi experiencia en la celebración de sus 225 años de fundada.

"It's worth it", a short phrase but with a highly important significance today for a country that is on the verge of total collapse of its economy. A phrase that resonates from the fertile valleys of Aragua, in the prosperous but decayed paradise that is Venezuela, a place where there is a hacienda, a company and a family that has accompanied Venezuelans since colonial times and that today I want to tell you about my experience in the celebration of its 225th anniversary.

Junto a la Sinfónica Ayacucho hemos formalizado una amistad de ayuda mutua, compartir histórico y muchísimas historias que valen la pena contar por la familiaridad con una empresa que se ha mantenido ya por dos siglos y que al igual que nos otros rompemos esquemas en nuestro terreno de juego. Hacemos historia por ser irreverentes y fuera de serie, eso siempre ha sido nuestro semblante y esperemos lo sea por mucho tiempo más.

Together with the Ayacucho Symphony Orchestra we have formalized a friendship of mutual help, historical sharing and many stories that are worth telling because of the familiarity with a company that has been in existence for two centuries and that, like others, we break schemes in our field of play. We make history by being irreverent and out of the ordinary, that has always been our face and let's hope it will be for a long time to come.

Lo cierto es que hicimos un concierto muy secreto, aunque no lo era la celebración, ya que había muchos invitados especiales, pero la sorpresa para mí fue que haríamos un tipo de obra de teatro acompañada de música para este magno evento de los 225 años de la fundación de la hacienda Santa Teresa. Si, un evento con muchísimo que ver, donde el ron, el rugby y la buena música no estarían faltos.

The truth is that we did a very secret concert, although the celebration was not, as there were many special guests, but the surprise for me was that we would do a kind of play accompanied by music for this great event of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the Hacienda Santa Teresa. Yes, an event with a lot to see, where rum, rugby and good music would not be missing.

El lugar la “Quinta Esmeralda” en el municipio Chacao, la orquesta mi amada Sinfónica Ayacucho, la dirección orquestal la maestra Elisa Vegas, el equipo de primera de actores donde la dirección actoral estuvo a cargo del maestro Javier Vidal, junto a la participación de la primera actriz Julie Restifo junto al destacado actor José Manuel Suarez junto a los muy geniales y talentosísimos Alcatraces, quienes para los que desconoces de ellos, muchos son ex-presidiarios o ex-miembros de bandas delictivas que dejaron las armas y las fechorías por un camino mejor, el del deporte y la reinserción a la sociedad de manera honrada. Todo bajo un texto de un querido amigo de la orquesta Nacho Palacios.

Como un dato aleatorio: Luego de algunos años al fin me compre un nuevo par de zapatos para estrenarlos en este evento. Debo decirles que son simples, pero me encantaron. Una pequeña inversión para futuro, aunque por unos días me costó adaptarme a ellos ya que me pegaban un poco, pero con unos truquitos logre estirarlos.

As a random fact: After a few years I finally bought a new pair of shoes to wear them for this event. I must tell you that they are simple, but I loved them. A small investment for the future, although for a few days I had a hard time adapting to them because they were a little sticky, but with a few tricks I managed to stretch them.

El día: resulto que fueron dos días de concierto, los días 13 y 14 de este mes de octubre. Uno donde se estrenaría el show y el segundo día fue transmitido por todas las redes sociales para que todos los fans pudieran disfrutar del talento y buena música que se sucedió en el marco de los 225 años de la hacienda y el lanzamiento de la nueva edición del ron “1796”, que sin dudas es una magnifica cosecha llena de sabores que desde siempre han unido a las familias venezolanas en el mundo entero y es codiciado por todos los buenos paladares a nivel internacional.

The day: it turned out that there were two concert days, the 13th and 14th of this month of October. One where the show was premiered and the second day was broadcast on all social networks so that all fans could enjoy the talent and good music that happened in the framework of the 225th anniversary of the hacienda and the launch of the new edition of rum "1796", which is undoubtedly a magnificent vintage full of flavors that have always united Venezuelan families around the world and is coveted by all good palates internationally.

El espectáculo transcurría bajo una nube histórica que relato la fundación de Santa Teresa y los dramas y peripecias que sufrieron sus fundadores en días de la independencia de Venezuela y luego en años de la guerra federal que devasto a Venezuela hasta nuestros días. Una historia fascinante que es parte de nosotros, de nuestra tierra, de nuestras vivencias ya que todo venezolano conoce ese delicioso ron que ha acompañado a cada celebración en muchas ocasiones especiales, dentro y fuera de nuestro país.

The show took place under a historical cloud that told the story of the founding of Santa Teresa and the dramas and vicissitudes suffered by its founders in the days of Venezuela's independence and then in the years of the federal war that devastated Venezuela until today.
