Review : Detention. A Horror But Not Horror Tv Series

Hello my dear friends. This time, i will share my review about a Taiwanese tv series, Detention. Me and my siblings were looking for a new tv series to watch together. We want to watch a horror or thriller tv series. When we were talking about horror movie or tv series, what crossed our mind first were thailand, korea, japan, or even turkeys. This is the first time that we saw a Taiwanese’s horror tv series. Through the genre is thriller, supernatural, and horror. I dont agree with the thriller and horror one. For me, this tv series is not really thrilling nor its scary. I will just categorized this tv series and supernatural.

Like in many Taiwanese’ tv series, the plot is going back and forth between the past and present. I dont like this part of it. I dont know why but they dont really differentiate between the past and the present so its sometimes confuse us because they make us work harder to think “ah so this is the past” “ah, so they’re talking about present time” . If you’re the type of people that doesnt like to think much while watching a tv series, just dont watch this one because it will tired you out.

As for the horror aspect, in the first episode they make it looks like this tv series gonna be very scary. But, its only in the first episode. As the story goes on, the story became more dramatic. For me, its suited to be categorized as melodramas rather than horror and thrilling. Just because there’s a ghost in there it doesnt mean its horror or thrilling. Do you agree with me or my opinion were wrong?

Even if its a story about revenge with ghost and such, i like to think that it should still makes sense. Like what i said in my past review about Sabrina movie, i dont like how they end this movie. Few people died even if its because of the ghost but where is the police? Is there no one to suspect? No investigation? It doesnt makes sense to me. The story ended with how the main characters continue their live in peace just like that.
