Sabrina, A Horror Movie So Messed Up I Dont Have The Chance To Feel Scared

Hello my dear friends.
In this lovely evening, i had a chance to watch a horror movie with my siblings. Its something we do together in the past few days. If i was alone, i will never ever thought about watch a horror movie. With my siblings with me, watching horror movies never be a problem. I always get this more power when i am with my younger siblings. Watching them in a broad daylight helps too.

In this time, we watched a movie called Sabrina. At first, i thought that it was a western horror movie because of the name. When my brother pointed out that its an Indonesian movie, i clicked them immediately. I was looking for an Indonesian tv shows because there’s one neighbor kid watching together with us. He cant read yet so if we’re watching foreign movies, he will not understand a thing.

Since in the past few years, Indonesian horror movie improved a lot. I have some expectations with this movie. If we loon at the cast list, we will see some big name in there. I was thinking, it cant be a bad movie, right? Boy, how wrong i was. I was too naive. This movie is such a bad movie. I was watching very good horror movies and tv series in the past few days so when i watching this in comparison, i kept cringing. Its a painful movie to watch. The cast members’ acting was not bad. There’s two big holes in this movie, one is their bad scripts, the other is their plot holes. I will blame all of those failure to the producer, director, and scriptwriter. How do they turn some decent actresses and actors to be like that. It was such a hard time for me to watch the movie. I dong even have the energy to feel scared nor care for the ghost. The ghost was the last thing on my mind. I kept point picking the plot holes and the script writing holes. If i saw the script in front of me and they told me to mark the lines i think should be gone, i think it will be 70% of the whole script.

The script written in such a way that makes the pronunciation and the acting became so weird. You can only understand it if you understand the language and watch the movie. I think the actors had a hard time pronounce the words and make the sentence so its uncomfortable for the viewer to watch when we see them having a hard time spitting the words.

For the plot, it was a knock off from the conjuring series. I said that not only because of the doll. It was the whole theme of the story, including the exorcist couple. The sabrina doll is so ugly, why is it so popular? Its like they make an ugly and scary doll became a hot things for kids for no reason. Can they at least give us some reasons why and how it became such a popular doll? Maybe some influencers like it or something with a deeper meaning. Other thing is, the exorcist couple literally killed a person before (the mother of the kid in the story). Well, the person was possessed by a demon and they want to exorcist them but ended up separating the head from the body of the lady, but in the end they still killed the lady. How do they explain those scenarios for the police? How come they’re not in jail for that? I thought that this is something our law can handle. There’re many cases like this before in my country and they all ended up in jail. There’re many others but i feel like i will lost more of my brain cells if i talked about that movie more than this.
