Training Myself As A Cult Leader With This Outlanders Game, Apparently I Should Change Career.

Hi Guys in this post i will talk about this game that i’ve been playing all day all night since yesterday.
Its Outlander.
This game is part of Apple Arcade games.
So basically we can only get to download this game if we already subscribed to Apple Arcade.
At first, i was curious about this game.
I love playing with people, like move people, build a house, building, work space.
But in the beginning, i was so confused with how things work here so i repeating the stage few times to get the better knowledge about this game before i play it for real.
It looks so simple but its not so simple.
They make us to think 24/7 on how to grow the place.

After i opened the application, they directly take us to choose wether we want to continue or start anew.

I choose the start new and her we can customize:

• Land type
• Civilization
• Map Size
• Initial Resource
• Natural Resource
• Population

This is the day 1.
As we can see, they let us start with almost nothing.
So here we need to build a house for the followers that doesnt have home and build a resource hut, like hut to gather mushroom, hut to gather wood, hut to gather stones, etc.
Those huts will act as the follower’ workspace.

This is the Day 109.
For saving time, we can speed the time 5x.
So its good that we will not waste our time.

This is Decree.
As the leader, we can choose few decree that we want to apply to the followers.
But all of the decree have positive and negative impact.
If we put them to work harder or ear less, they will became unhappy.
If we let them eat a lot or work less, they will became happy but our resource will lessen quickly.
The decree has minimum hours.
So we can choose one decree and need to wait for 72 hours before we can take the decree down.

This is the stats of the land.
Here we can see how many followers we have and how many resources we have.
I always checked them frequently because i want to check how many food i have left.
And if the food is not enough, i will make the follower focusing on gathering food rather than build a hut or gather rocks and wood.

This is the Build section.
Here we choose what we want to build.
I always do this in the night time where the follower is sleeping.
So in the morning when they woke up, they directly do the work i assign to them.
It save so much time like that.
If not, we will waste a lot of time because the time that the follower can use to work will waste when we move them around to assign them a new job.

This is the setting of the language and sound in the game.
Since the sound is not annoying, i let it on.

When the population grew too big, i cant keep up anymore and keep the followers hungry and unhappy.
If they are totally 0 happy, they will not work.
This is quite frustrating, it seems like im not a good leader so i will quit this game .

My Thoughts About This Game

• Dont make the population as the largest if you dont want to be frustrated about so many babies born and it means more mouth to feed and it means that we need to keep build a new house to the point that theres no land available anymore.
• I wish that they will have more choice about the speed. Sometimes i feel like 5x speed aint enough.
• I feel like a leader of a cult playing this because they called the people as follower, not villager.
