Hello dear friends, I hope you are all doing well. Today I want to share with you a painting I did of the band Daft Punk, one of the bands that was a big part of my teenage years, so I have very fond memories of them. About them, I can say that Daft Punk was a French electronic music and electronic rock duo formed in 1993 in Paris by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. They achieved great popularity in the late 1990s, which is when I first discovered them. They became famous as part of the French house music movement, combining elements of house music with funk, disco, rock, and pop. Here I've painted them on a piece of paper using acrylic paints, paying special attention to the helmets that made them so famous.

Hola queridos amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una pintura en que hice de la banda Daft Punk, una de las bandas que me acompaño en mi época de adolescencia por lo que guardo muy buenos recuerdos. acerca de ellos puedo decir que Daft Punk fue un dúo francés de música electrónica y rock electrónico formado por allá en 1993 en París por Thomas Bangalter y Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Alcanzaron una gran popularidad a fines de la década de 1990, época donde los conocí, se hicieron famosos como parte del movimiento house francés, combinando elementos de la música house con funk, disco, rock y pop. Aquí los he pintado sobre un billte utilizando pintira acrílicas, haciendo mucho énfasis en los cascos los cuales los hicieron muy famosos.

I started by taking one of the banknotes, since I plan to draw each member separately on a specific banknote. Here I make the sketch using only white paint to transform it into a canvas-like space for drawing the lines more effectively. Once I've drawn all the lines and it has the ideal shape, I begin painting the enormous dark-colored crystal....

Comencé tomando uno de los billetes, ya que pienso dibujar a cada miembro por separado en un billete en especial. Aquí hago el boceto solo con pintura blanca para transformarlo en un espacio como un lienzo para dibujar las líneas de una mejor manera. Una vez que ya he hecho todas las líneas y tiene la forma ideal comienzo a pintar el enorme cristal de color oscuro que recorre la mayor parte del casco.

Since the first part I painted was the black glass, I had a lot of fun doing the small details. The idea here is to create the reflection in the glass, so in the background you can see how the buildings and sky are distorted. Little by little, with a very fine brush, I added each of the details.

Como la primera parte a la que agregué pintura fue al cristal de color negro, me divertí mucho haciendo los pequeños detalles, aquí se trata de hacer el reflejo en el vidrio, así que al fondo puede verse como los edificios y el cielo se distorsiona. Poco a poco con un pincel muy fino fui agregando cada uno de los detalles.

Next, I begin painting the metal edges of the helmet. It reminds me a lot of Boba Fett's helmet from Star Wars; I'm sure it's a reference. Here, I paint it a tone close to gold, and I paint the reflections that distort on the metal in the same way.

Después comienzo a pintar los bordes de metal que posee el casco, me recuerda mucho al casco de Boba Fett se Star Wars, estoy seguro que es una referencia. Aquí lo pinto de un tono cercano al dorado, y de la misma forma pinto los reflejos que se distorsionan en el metal.

Finally, I'm painting part of the suit, which in this case is a very dark blue color, and it has a black tie over a...

Por último voy pintando parte del traje, que en este caso es de un color azul muy oscuro, y lleva corbata de color negro sobre una camisa de color blanco.

Now we move on to the second member of this fantastic crew, whose helmet reminds me a lot of C-3PO. Honestly, I see Star Wars everywhere, hehe. Following the same process, I paint the sketch of the helmet, which I then refine with a pencil to begin painting the darker parts of the visor. This helmet is silver, so its base color is bluish, which I add with a fine brush.

Ahora seguimos con el segundo integrante de esta fantástica banda, el cual su casco me recuerda mucho a C3PO, la verdad es que veo a Star Wars en todas partes jejeje. Siguiendo el mismo proceso, pinto el boceto del casco el cual luego doy forma con lápiz para comenzar a pintar las partes oscuras del cristal. Este casco es plateado por lo que su color base es azulado, así que lo voy agregando con un pincel fino.

As I mentioned before, this helmet is silver, so its reflections are bluish. Here I also added the distorted reflection of the buildings, which blend into the sky in the background. It's the part I enjoy painting the most and the one that makes the drawing look more realistic.

Como mencioné antes, este casco es plateado por lo que sus reflejos son azulados, aquí también agregué el reflejo distorsionado de los edificios, que al fondo se funden con el cielo. Es la parte que más me gusta pintar y la que hace que el dibujo se vea más realista.

Then I refine the details by adding dots of paint all over the helmet to create those highlights. I also paint part of the suit in the same way, since they're both dressed the same way and in the same color.

Luego voy afinando detalles agregando puntos de pintura a todo el casco, para hacer esos destellos de la luz. De la misma forma también voy pintando parte el traje, ya que ambos van vestidos de la misma manera y del mismo color.

What do you think of the result? I've wanted to draw them for a long time, but I haven't had the chance, plus I was running out of paints. Now I'm preparing to participate in a contest and I'm trying to gather as much inspiration as possible to paint a good picture. I hope that will be very soon. ¿Qué les ha parecido el resultado? desde hace mucho tenía ganas de dibujarlos, solo que no había tenido la oportunidad a parte que me faltaban algunas pinturas ya que se han ido terminando. ahora me etsoy preparando para participar en un concurso y estoy tratando de recoger toda la inspiración posible para pintar un buien cuadro, espero que eso pueda ser muy pronto.
