[ENG-ES] SUNFLOWER WATERCOLOR PAINTING

Hello friends, I wish you are very well, tonight I want to share with you a painting that I made with watercolors, lately I have been enjoying painting with watercolors a lot because it was something unknown to me, and only practicing will make me know this technique better until I master it. I have made a beautiful Sunflower with a blurred landscape background, something that was a bit difficult for me since it is not the same as colored pencils, I hope you like it!

Hola amigos, deseo que se encuentren muy bien, esta noche quiero compartir con ustedes una pintura que hice con acuarelas, últimamente he estado disfrutando mucho pintar con acuarelas porque era algo desconocido para mi, y solo practicando me hará conocer mejor esta técnica hasta dominarla. He realizado un hermoso Girasol con un fondo del paisaje desenfocado, algo que me resultó un poco dificil ya que no es igual a los lápices de colores, espero que les guste!

I used in this drawing my traditional Fabriano paper that never disappoints me, it always holds everything, the best of the best. I prepared the paints with a few drops of water and with the softest brush I began to paint, but not before making the sketch of the flower with a very light pencil. After having everything ready, with the softest brush I put the first layers, if we mix a little paint and a lot of water the tone will be clear, so with the yellow I do just that and then add darker layers.

Utilicé en este dibujo mi tradicional papel Fabriano que nunca me decepciona, siempre aguanta todo, lo mejor de lo mejor. Preparé las pinturas con unas poquitas gotas de agua y con el pincel mas suave comencé a pintar, no sin antes hacer el boceto de la flor con un lápiz muy claro. Luego de tener todo listo, con el pincel mas suave pongo las primeras capas, si mezclamos poca pintura y mucha agua el tono nos quedará claro, así que con el amarillo hago justamente eso para después agregar capas mas oscuras.

The next step is to darken the petals of the flower a little more, giving it a little more orange tones, so I mix the orange color with a little bit of yellow so that it is not so strong but a transition between both colors. Then I begin to paint the parts where the petals begin with the center of the flower, and I also paint the petals that remain in the back that are not visible to the naked eye. Once this is done I begin to color the center of the flower, for that I use a little light green and mix it with some yellow to lighten it up more.

El siguiente paso es oscurecer un poco más los pétalos de la flor, dándole unos tonos un poco más naranjas, así que mezclo el color naranja con un poco de amarillo para que no me quede tan fuerte sino una transición entre ambos colores. Luego comienzo a pintar las partes donde inician los pétalos con el centro de la flor, y tambien pinto las los pétalos que quedan en la parte trasera que no se ven a simple vista. Una vez hecho esto comienzo a colorear el centro de la flor, para eso utilizo un poco de verde claro y lo mezclo con algo de color amarillo para aclarar más.

After painting the center of the flower with a first green base, I use the black color and begin to make all the parts that go in the center, little by little with soft brushstrokes. Then I put another base in the center to darken it a bit and then I reinforce the black strokes with purple and magenta to play with the tones. I also reinforce the entire border between the petals and the center, this area is very important to make the contrast between lights and shadows.

Luego de pintar el centro de la flor con una primera base de color verde, utilizo el color negro y comienzo hacer todas las partes que van en el centro, poco a poco con pinceladas suaves. Después voy echando otra base en el centro para oscurecer un poco y luiego refuerzo las pinceladas negras con color violeta, magenta para jugar con los tonos. También refuerzo todo el borde entre los pétalos y el centro, esta zona es muy importante hacer el contraste entre luces y sombras.

To finish the painting, I reinforced all the colors once again, starting with the petals and ending with the center of the flower, I also painted the stem with some leaves, I made a combination between green and yellow to give it contrast. In order not to leave the flower like that in the air, as is my custom, I painted the background like this with an out of focus style, I really like doing it, it gives more life to the central object.

Para finalizar la pintiura, reforcé una vez más todos los colores, comenzando por los pétalos y terminando por el centro de la flor, además tambien pinte el tallo con algunas hojas, hice una combinación entre verde y amarillo para darle constraste. Para no dejar la flor así en el aire, como es mi costumbre pinte el fondo así con un estilo desenfocado, me gusta mucho hacerlo, le da más vida al objeto central.

After some touch-ups and letting the paint dry very well, the drawing was finished, sunflowers are among my favorite flowers and whenever I have an opportunity I try to draw it to give it as a gift. Luego de algunos retoques y dejar secar muy bien la pintura el dibujo quedó terminado, los girasoles estan entre mis flores favoritas y siempre que tengo una oportunidad trato de dibujarla para obsequiarla. Espero que les haya gustado esta pintura en acuarela, soy un total novato en esto, pero eséro seguir mejorando, me despido hasta una nueva oportunidad. Saludos para todos.
