[ENG-ESP] "A KISS" Drawing on Black Cardboard

Hello dear friends, I hope you are doing well, how difficult it has been for me to start the month of January, instead I can see that many people are working on their projects and on the things they like to do the most, I congratulate you all For this. However, with certain limitations I want to share with you my last drawing, I have an injury on my right shoulder, which is my strong hand that prevents me from being so active for now, but since I have been improving I have taken drawing as a kind of therapy to recover faster. This time I have made a drawing on black cardboard to highlight the beauty of a kiss, I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, que dificil ha sido para mi arrancar el mes de enero, en cambio puedo ver que muchas personas se encuentran trabajando en sus proyectos y en las cosas que mas les gusta hacer, los felicito a todos por esto. Sin embargo, con ciertas limitaciones quiero compartir con ustedes mi último dibujo, tengo una lesiónen mi hombro derecho, que es mi mano fuerte que me impide por ahora estar tan activo, pero ya que he ido mejorando he tomado el dibujo como una especie de terapia para recuperarme más rápido. En esta oportunidad he realizado un dibujo en cartulina negra para resaltar la belleza de un beso, espero que les guste.

I started making the lines for the sketch with what I have left of white, they would laugh if they saw it, one of the reasons that it has been difficult for me to start is that even in my city the stores where I buy the colors have not yet opened, I must wait a few more days, so I'm doing these drawings with what little I have left, and partly it's exciting, because I don't know if I'll be able to finish them or not. I made the shape as the light coming from the bottom of the faces.

Comence haciendo las líneas para el boceto con lo que me queda de color blanco, que si lo vieran se reírian, una de las razones que me ha costado comenzar es que aún en mi ciudad las tiendas donde compro los colores aun no han abierto, debo esperar unos días más, de manera que estoy haciendo estos dibujos con lo poco que me queda, y en parte es emocionante, porque no se si podré terminarlos o no. Hice la forma como la luz viniendo de la parte inferior de los rostros.

The next step was to use the white carbon pencil, this pencil when I use it on the black cardboard serves to achieve a more intense white, and thus it can be differentiated from the common and current wax color. With this color I highlight the entire edge of the lines drawn as the starting point of the light reflections, from then on as it moves away towards the shadow I gradually blur it, you can also use a little white prismacolor wax for those parts where the reflection of the light is not so strong but very dim!

El siguiente paso fue utilizar el lapiz de carbón blanco, este lápiz cuando lo utilizo sobre la cartulina negra sirve para lograr un blanco más intenso, y así puede diferenciarse del color de cera común y curriente. Con este color remarco todo el borde de las líneas dibujadas como punto de partida de los reflejos de luz, de ahí en adelante como se va alejando hacia la sombra voy difuminando poco a poco, también se puede utilizar un poco de color blanco de cera prismacolor para esas partes donde el reflejo de la luz no es tan fuerte sino que es muy tenue!

Al tener listas las líneas hechas con el clor blanco de carboncillo, entonces comenzamos a rellenar esos reflejos de luz, recordando que hay que ir degradando el trazo, mientras más se aleje, mas oscuro. Si voy haciendo con la barbilla de la dama, quien esta en el lado derecho de la imagen, de la misma forma con la mano del caballero, quien sostiene el rostro de la mujer.

Now, the most important moment, getting the shadows right, ironically, the light reflections hehe. You can see very well the difference between both shades of white, for the lines of the face white charcoal was used, and towards the interior of the faces and the hand the white color of wax was used, and towards the final parts a white color less intense than I found in my old belongings. It is to apply the process in reverse when a degradation is made with a graphite pencil.

Ahora, el momento más importante, hacer bien las sombras, irónicamente, los reflejos de luz jeje. Se puede observar muy bien la diferencia entre ambos tonos de blanco, para las lineas del rostro se utilizó el carboncillo blanco, y hacia el interior de los rostros y la mano se usó el color blanco de cera, y hacias las partes finales un color blanco menos intenso que encontré en mis antiguas pertenencias. Es aplicar a la inversa el proceso cuando se hace una degradación con lapíz de grafito.

An extra point, or something I wanted to add was two colors to symbolize the masculine and feminine energies that merge in this kiss creating something new. So for the masculine I took a fuchsia color since it is a mixture between the color red, of strength and passion, mixed with a little blue, which symbolizes tranquility and sensitivity, it is part of the feminine within the masculine. And for the female face I used the color blue mixed with purple, which is the inverse of the previous combination, it is the masculine within the feminine, strength and passion together with tranquility and sensitivity. With this color combination I finished the drawing.

Un punto extra, o algo que quise agregar fue dos colores para simbolizar las energías masculinas y femeninas que se funden en este beso creando algo nuevo. Así que para lo masculino tomé un color fucsia ya que es una mezcla entre el color rojo, de la fuerza y la pasión, mezclado con un poco de azul, que simbiliza la tranquilidad y la sensibilidad, es parte delo femenino dentro de lo masculino. Y para el rostro femenino utilicé el color azul mezclado con purpura, que es lo inverso de la combinación anterior, es lo masculino dentro de lo femenino, la fuerza y la pasión unido a la tranquilidad y la sensibilidad. Con esta combinación de colores di por finalizado el dibujo.
