[ENG-ESP] Drawing portrait of a Doggy named Sasy

Hello dear cartoonist friends of this community, today I want to show how I made a portrait of a beautiful dog, her name is Sasy and she is 3 years old, she belongs to a neighbor and she is very affectionate and super intelligent so I have decided to make this drawing as a Small gift. Hope you like.

Hola queridos amigos dibujantes de esta comunidad, hoy quiero mostrar como hice un retrato de una hermosa perrita, su nombre es Sasy y ya tiene 3 años de edad, pertenece una vecina y e smuy cariñosa y super inteligente así que he decidido hacer este dibujo como un pequeño regalo. Espero que les guste.

I chose a Fabriano paper cardboard, the best that exists for realistic drawings, it has two different faces, one that has more relief than the other, so we can decide which one to use best according to our needs. I made the sketch with light pencils to later erase the lines easier, the first part where I began to draw was through the nose, so here I used various shades of brown to make a degradation to the darkest and thus give it the shadows that the nose of dogs has at the same time the illuminated parts.

Escogí una cartulina de papel fabriano, lo mejor que existe para dibujos realistas, tiene dos caras diferentes una que tiene más relieve que la otra, así que se puede decidir cual usar mejor segun nuestras necesidades. Hice el boceto con lápices claros para luego borrar las líneas más facil, la primera parte por donde comencé a dibujar fue por la nariz, así que aquí utilicé varios tonos de color café para hacer una degradación hasta lo más oscuro y así darle las sombra que la nariz de los perroz tiene al mismo tiempo las partes iluminadas.

The second step was to start from the nose towards the inside of the face, here I simply make soft strokes to shape the face and know how the drawing will look, I use a layer of ocher yellow for this layer without putting too much effort into the line since I will use it later other shades to give the pet's fur a better color. I am also delimiting the part of the teeth and the tongue that is very important to leave it last.

El segundo paso fue partir desde la nariz hacia el interior del rostro, aquí simplemente hago trazos suaves para darle forma al rostro y saber como quedará el dibujo, utilizo una capa de color amarillo ocre para esta capa sin esforzar mucho el trazo ya que luego utilizaré otros tonos para darle mejor color al pelaje de la mascota. Tambien voy delimitando la parte de los dientes y la lengua que es muy importante para dejarlo en último lugar.

I finished putting the initial layer of colors and then I went on to outline and paint the eyes well, here as you can see I started with light colors, a very light brown that is used to draw human skin, leaving the white space for the reflection of light in the eye. Then I applied another slightly darker brown color and so on until using black color only in the most necessary parts, in the same way I also painted other areas of the hair that goes above the eyes and also towards the sides.

Termine de poner la capa inicial de colores y luego pasé a delinear y pinatr bien los ojos, aquí como pueden ver comencé con colores claros, un café muy claro que sirve para dibujar piel humana, dejando el espacio en blanco del reflejo de la luz en el ojo. Después fuí aplicando otro color café un poco más oscuro y así hasta utilizar color negro solo en las partes más necesarias, de la misma forma también pinté otras áreas del pelo que va encima de los ojos y también hacia los lados.

Then I start to paint the entire muzzle of the dog including the tongue and teeth, this part was a bit complicated since it didn't look very good in the photo so well, I had to do my best to make it stand out, especially the teeth. Also with the tongue try to draw the shadows well, at the same time I added more color layer to all the fur in general and also to give it volume that way the drawing looks more realistic.

Después comienzo a pintar todo el hocico de la perrita incluyendo la lengua y los dientes, esta parte fue un poco complicada ya que no se veía muy bien en la foto así que bueno, tuve que hacerlo lo mejor posible para que se notara, especialmente los dientes. Así tambien con la lengua tratar de dibujarle bien las sombras, al mismo tiempo agregué más capa de color a todo el pelaje en general y tambien para darle volumen de esa forma se va viendo más realista el dibujo.

After having done all the layers of colors, I began to blend with a soft brush, this technique is the best that exists for blending, if we use a mineral oil to dilute the strokes, it will be better since the paper stains better at the same time as we can continue applying more layers of colors. I did this about 3 times until I was satisfied with the strokes and the blur, in this way I finished the portrait.

Despues de haber hecho todas las capas de colores comencé ma difuminar con un pincel suave, esta técnica es de lo mejor que existe para difuminar, si utilizamos un aceite minaral para diluir los trazos quedará mejor ya que el papel se tiñe mejor al mismo tiempo que podemos seguír aplicando más capas de colores. Esto lo hice unas 3 veces hasta quedar conforme con los trazos y el difuminado, de esta manera di por finalizado el retrato.

After a few tweaks I finished the drawing, sometimes when I finish a job I leave it without looking at it for a few hours and then I come back, that way I can see new things that I didn't see before and thus be able to improve them. This portrait is already with its new owner and she has been very pleased since she loves her pet very much, and the truth is that it is very adorable. Luego de unos retoques terminé el dibujo, a veces cuando doy por finalizado un trabajo lo dejo sin mirar unas horas y luego regreso, de esa manera puedo ver nuevas cosas que antes no veía y así poder mejorarlas. Este retrato ya está con su nueva dueña y ha quedado muy complacida ya que ama mucho a su mascota, y la verdad es que es muy adorable.
