Holozing Fan Art - Wrackoo is a Basketball Player [ENG-ESP]

Hello dear Holozing friends, I hope you're all doing well and had a great weekend. Sunday is usually a day of rest, but I used it to draw. The design I want to show you now is a fan art of Wrackoo dressed as a professional basketball player. I love basketball; it's my favorite sport. I drew it with colored pencils, and since his color is green, I gave him a uniform similar to that of the glorious Boston Celtics, my favorite team. Next, I'll briefly show you the step-by-step process. Let's begin!

Hola queridos amigos de Holozing, espero que se encuentren muy bien y hayan tenido un buen fin de semana, hoy domingo siempre se descansa, pero yo lo he utilizado para dibujar. El diseño que quiero mostrar ahora para ustedes es un fan art de Wrackoo vestido como un jugador de basket profesional, a mi me encanta el basket, es mi deporte favorito. Lo he hecho con lápices de colore sy aprovechando que su color es verde le puse un uniforme similar al de los gloriosos Boston Celtics, mi equipo favorito, a continuación voy a mostrarles brevemente como ha sido el proceso paso a paso, comencemos!

As before, the gray cardstock is the background for my drawing. It's one of the best surfaces I've used so far; it's very versatile, and I really like the results when I use colored pencils. Here, I begin by sketching the drawing with a white pencil, including, of course, the head, body, and limbs. I also add a basketball and the uniform.

Como las veces anteriores la cartulina de color gris es el fondo para dibujar, es una de las mejores superficies que he utilizado hasta ahora, es muy versatil y cuando uso lápices de colores me gusta mucho el resultado. Aquí comienzo haciendo el boceto del dibujo con lápiz blanco, donde va por supuesto su cabeza, su cuerpo y sus extremidades, incluyo un balón de basket y el uniformes.

I started by painting the face, specifically the upper part. My goal in using green was to make the hair look good and not flat like a cartoon; I wanted it to reflect texture. So, little by little, I used three different shades of green to achieve that effect.

Comencé pintando el rostro, específicamente por la parte superior, mi objetivo al utilizar el color verde es hacer que el pelo pueda verse bien y no que el dibujo sea plano como una caricatura, yo quiero que refleje textura. Así poco a poco utilizo 3 tonos diferentes e color verde para llegar hacer ese efecto.

Next, I began shaping the face, first painting the black area around the eyes. For the whites of the eyes, I used white paint, as I thought it would be more suitable since I wanted the eyes to stand out from the rest of the drawing. Then I painted the rest of the head green, trying to create the textured hair effect I mentioned earlier.

Seguidamente le fui dando forma al rostro, en primer lugar pintando la parte que va de color negro que rodea a los ojos, al pintar la parte blanca de los ojos utilicé pintura blanca, me pareció más conveniente ya que queria que los ojos resaltaran por sobre todo el dibujo. Luego fui pintando de color verde el retso de la cabeza, tratando de hacer ese efecto de textura en el pelo que mencioné antes.

After that, I start painting the body, beginning with the arms, using the same shades of green so far. For the uniform, I add white lines for the edges; these lines or stripes are the ones worn by the Boston Celtics team, as well as the number 0, which I chose for Wrackoo.

Luego de eso voy pintando el cuerpo, comenzando con los brazos, utilizando hasta ahora los mismos tonos de color verde. Para el uniforme hago unas líneas de color blanco para los bordes, estas lineas o franjas son las que tiene el equipo de Boston Celtics, así como también el número el cual escogi para Wrackoo el 0.

I also started drawing the basketball using orange and adding black stripes. As for the shorts he's wearing, I drew white lines and then painted them green. For the soles of his shoes, I used white, since he'll be wearing basketball shoes.

También comencé a dibujar el balon de basket utilizando color naranja y poniendo las rayas de color negro. En cuanto al short que tiene puesto también hice unas líneas blancas, para luego pintar de color verde, para las suelas de los zapatos utilicé color blanco, ya que llevará puestas unas tenis de basketball.

Once I had painted the sole, I had to think about the rest of the shoe's design. In the end, I decided to continue using Wrackoo's colors, green and black. I had imagined making them Air Jordans, but red wouldn't have looked right, so I chose this color instead. After that, with a soft brush, I began to blend the colors and added another layer to give it more volume. And that's how it was finished.

Cuando ya había pintado el color de la suela me quedaba pensar en el retso del diseño del zapato, al final elegí seguir utilizando los colores de Wrackoo, los colores verde y negro, había imaginado hacerle unas Air Jordan ! pero el color rojo no le hubiera quedado bien, así que elegí este. Luego de eso, con un pincel suave comencé a difuminar los colores y también otra capa más de color para darle más volumen. De esta manera quedó finalizado.

What do you think of the result? Wrackoo looks like a real NBA player, and he's also a player for the winningest team in history, the Boston Celtics. I had a lot of fun making this drawing; sometimes I can't separate my love for basketball from other things like drawing, hehe. I hope you liked it. For now, I'll say goodbye. See you soon!

¿Qué les ha parecido el resultado? Wrackoo luce como un auténtico jugador de la NBA, y a parte es jugador del equipo más ganador en la historia, los Boston Celtics. Me divertí mucho haciendo este dibujo, a veces no puedo apartar mi fanatismo por el basket al mezclarlo con otras cosas como el dibujo jejeje.
