MONOMAD || THICK HAIRY CATERPILLAR
Good evening and greetings to all of us and tonight I want to share my picture, which is caterpillar.
In my area people call it by the name of a hairy caterpillar. This caterpillar lives in my plantation, I also happened to be looking for photography objects, and after I found the caterpillar, I immediately took out my stance, namely shooting.
Based on the explanation from Wikipedia, Caterpillars are the larval stage of members of the order Lepidoptera. As with most common names, the use of this term is actually inconsistent, because sawfly larvae are also often referred to as caterpillars. Both lepidopteran larvae and symphytan larvae have an eruciform body shape.
I found this caterpillar which happened to be eating my rambutan plant, but he only ate the leaves, if he had time to eat the fruit, his life was over . This caterpillar has different characteristics from other types of caterpillars, this caterpillar has long and thick hair all over its body, this caterpillar is very agile towards my movements, maybe because it has eaten my rambutan tree leaves maybe yes. And here are some pictures of the caterpillar.
For the characteristics of the caterpillar, namely.
- has a long and large body shape of about 3 inches
- has a green color all over his body
- has thick and white fur
- has 8 adhesive feet including 4 on the left and 4 on the right
- has like black antennae on his body
If you look at my picture to-th, maybe you will think this caterpillar looks like a predator. I myself also think this caterpillar is very similar to the predators in the movies.
