Hello friends of the community @hive-140084, Today I wanted to talk to you about an extraordinary and pioneering woman. An example for many other women is Mae Jemison

Mae Jemison was born into a working family on October 17, 1956 in the beautiful city of Decatur in the state of Alabama. Her mother was a teacher and her father worked in maintenance. She was the youngest of three brothers and from a very young age she stood out for her intelligence.

She was an astronaut, engineer and doctor for NASA. She graduated from Stanford University magna cum laude in chemistry. She later worked as a professor of medicine.
But she finally joined NASA in 1987. And 5 years later in 1992 she made history by becoming the first black woman to travel to space. She did it on the shuttle Endeavor for the STS-47 mission.

This pioneer stands out for her determination and dedication to science. After leaving NASA she founded her own technological research company. She has also participated in numerous projects promoting science among women and promoting diversity.
Mae Jemison is an example of struggle and a model to follow for future generations who can see in her a mirror in which to reflect themselves.
