My Twisted "Puto Buko"

Earlier I decided to made a Puto but I give it a twist. Instead of Puto Cheese I make it a "Puto Buko".

Since last-last day I made a Buko Pandan Salad now I used it as a toppings to my Puto. So now here's the ingredients and the very easy step.

INGREDIENTS:

  • buko (from the buko salad that I made)
  • 1 pc.egg
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp.baking powder
  • 1 tbsp.melted butter

PROCEDURE:
1.Let's put the steamer with water into a rice cooker then let it boil while were doing the mixture.

2.In a bowl combined all together the dry ingredients.(Flour,sugar, baking powder) And mixed them well.

3.In a separate bowl combined all the wet ingredients.(Egg,evaporated milk,water,melted butter). Then mixed them well.

4.Combined the dry and wet ingredients. Then mixed them thoroughly.

5.After mixing let it rest for 15 minutes so it will rise once we cooked it. And while it resting let's prepare the molder and put some butter on it so that it's easy to remove later once its already cooked.

6.After 15 minutes stir it first then pour it into the molder.

7.After that put the toppings. Which is mine is buko. You can also put cheese if you want.

8.Now put it into the steamer and steam it for 15-20 minutes.

9.After 15 minutes this is it. (I'm sorry it didnt rise well, I dont know were did I get wrong)

10.Let it cool and remove it from the molder.

That's it everyone. I'm so sorry that I didnt got it to a perfect texture. But it doesn't matter as long as the taste is okay and delicious it's still good. And thanks God the taste was so yummy.

So that was my yummy Puto buko has made. My father, sister and our little boy really loved it. And ofcourse me too.

Well, looks like a success to me, very cute little snacks. My wife makes a similar Cambodian steamed cake, but without any eggs or dairy. Very creative chef, glad your family enjoyed these.
